Prof. Kartik,In case our marks are not enough to make it to MICA, can you please suggest comparable and good B-Schools, specialising in Advtg/Mktg Communications?I would like to study at MICA very much, but the competition is heating up. Mine is a rather strange question, i know, but your words will help out folks who are passionate about marketing Communications specialisation.
- I hear about National Institute of Advtg, N.Delhi. Placements are good with top media houses and ad-agencies. But not many folks apply here. [Why?]
- Symbiosis has a programme comparable to MICA's

- SPJIMR
- Chennai Business School's Marketing Communication specialisation (1 year MBA)Are there any other institutes worth mentioning?

I like people who do some homework and come.

First of all, I hope all you 'enthu about MICA' guys can make it to MICA and study sincerely for next two eyars.

Haven't heard much about National Inst of Advtg so cna't comment. It would be a good idea to get in touch with some current students or alumni and get a perspective.

SPJIMR is essentially a vey good B school.

Simbi Mar Com is considered quite good.

I am a fresher and was my first attempt at CAT. I wud like to ask that once if called for GD PI, does the cat score matter any more in the admission process.

Hi

I understand that you are a fresher and this may be your first attempt at CAT. However, you can still go thru last two/three pages on this forum and get the answer to your queries.

Please don't take this as my unwillingness to reply. That's not the point. But as you move from graduation to professional course in your PG, you will be required to do a lot of self learning. This is your first step towards it. This will also prepare you for forthcoming GD and PI at various places.

According to TIME, a score of 110 will translate to something around 96 percentile. So go ahead and fill the mica form.....
