As per wat I have inferred -- psychometric questions are compulsory ...

and others are ....

I guess we wont have a paper like last year's, so there shudn't be a reason to worry abt completing questions ..

I think your paper will NOT be evaluated if you miss a question in the psychometry section.

Yes, psychometric, you must do entirely. You are required to attempt all other sections, but it is ok if you don't manage some of them.

My CAT percentile is 93.66
VA- 99.36
LR- 50.15
Quant- 47.77

I was betting big to get a call for MICAT but haven't. I feel wasted and think that this system fails to identify the deserving talent. A guy who can be an ideal match for the communication rich PGDM goes unidentified just because he is 2.23 %ile short in quant( am not sure of the reason though).

Indeed, computer may fail to select such a score but human analysis can clearly understand the trade-off between the quant and VA scores.

Kindly request you to tell does not these scores deem fit for the Communication oriented MBA which is not supposed to be quant heavy, am not that bad at quant though.

Hi Mohit

All said and done MICA offers a PG diploma in Communication Management. And hence quant and DA scores are looked at. I understand that you have done very well in VA but you have not managed to get the required basic score of just 50 percentile in Quant and hence you haven't got a call.

There are several, not just those who applied, but even on this forum who missed the cut off by .25 percentile. They have graciously accepted it. So rather than cribbing about the system, why not improve your scores??
