CAT 09 going online .. Lets see what happens.. but even if it does , i feel it will make less of a difference as CAT or any other exam as a matter of fact is a 'Competitive' exam.. If there is a new format for us.. then it is new for others also..

Iam not discouraging this thread, but its too early for a CAT 2009 thread to be started...Reason, you already have a CAT 2008 thread running..Get your queries sorted there (till CAT 0..Then you can start posting in this thread else this place will be full of spam & the seriousness will be diluted...

Waiting for a proper reason so that the thread can be kept open

The only reason why this thread should not be closed is that with this thread we get to know new people who have the same goal i.e. CAT 09 and help each other in preparing for this exam.
People would be giving CAT 09 after CAT 08, but ours would be the 1st time in 2009(That too online ! ). So its imperative for us to make friends and contacts , who r in the same phase(read just started) of preparation as we r.

Even then, we can wait and see the success of this thread in coming weeks..
if its a home for spams and useless talks then i request the mods to shut this thread at the very next moment ... but atleast lets give this thread a genuine try... !

Please note that this thread is not opened for discussing doubts in quant, VA, LR, etc.
It is just there to assemble a group of people who share a common cause, with an end view to discussing how to go about preparing for CAT. Its a different thing for us, as its going online. What if CAT changes completely? What if there are new areas like visual reasoning introduced in CAT?
In addition to the above mentioned discussion topics, there will be discussions on creation of Schedules for going about CAT.
No other thread in this forum can serve the above purposes.

I do think that such things deserve to be discussed.
I request the moderators to understand..:dontgeti:

As aayush_badmash has already said, I myself too will request the moderators to close this thread if there is spamming.

Just wait for some time, and then you should see the real reason of opening this thread.
The thread's title will be changed from Calling all CAT 09 puys to CAT 09 strategies, etc once a few more members pour in.

We need support from PG.
If the moderators still want to close this thread, they should first provide us with an alternative threads, where such topics can be discussed with special stress for CAT 09.

And finally, it is never too early to start preparing for CAT. Hence, it is never too early to start discussing CAT as well. That is why forums are made, right?

You can also try Phrasal Verbs by Cambridge University Press.
Cambridge University Press has a lot of fine practice as well as text books for Grammar. You can go have a look..
But do a lot of stuff from W&M.
