To be clear should i make the payment and then sit for registration?
or i just make an account there and pay the fees whenever i can??

Hello Atit,
I am not aware of S.P. Jain's procedure. For NITIE, you can edit ur data till the time you finally submit it.
You will get the challan form only after you create an account. You need to carry that challan to the nearest SBI, which is Core-banking enabled. Once you have deposited the money you will get a reciept number. You have to login again and enter this reciept number. Subsequently, you have to fill up the form. Hope I have answered your query.

Also,
since I am into IT, if i rank PGDITM above PGDISEM as my preference and can ultimately clear both , do u think I would be erring?
PS - I should make my preferences clear over here... I would olways like to go for a more popular/better course first... and if two courses are equally popular/good, then I would like to go with relevance to my current profile...

Hey maxell,
Let me answer ur queries:
1. Cut-offs for all the 3 courses are different. Last year it was something like this:
PGDIM: 98.2
PGDITM: 97+
PGDISEM: 95+
Just to correct a misconception, MDI had called up people with 97 pc last year for the PGPM Course...
2. All the 3 courses (IM/ISEM/ITM) are equally good.
IM is the general management program (where in u can have electives in Fin/Marketing/SCM-Ops)
ISEM is a very very niche course dealing with Industrial Safety and Environment Management. No other college offers this and hence NITIE's students are getting placed with very lucrative highest packages and best profiles.
ITM is the Management Programme catering to the need of IT Industry. Again, this course also is extremely relevant in today's world, where India is spearheading the IT revolution.

Some of the courses/electives in the course structure have been updated from the current academic year to keep track with the latest industry trends. Some new electives have also been added. For example we have a new elective (Financial Risk Management-FRM) added for IM in the Field of Finance from our batch only. This is considering the current Economic and Financial scenario. All the changes in courses will be reflected shortly on the website.
Go through these links and make yourself aware before you choose your preference order. Any further queries... Do let us know.
Cheers,
