I think this simcat was a very easy one, though I managed to screw up VA as usual
And I couldn't maximise in any section either :(
Pretty bad performance by me despite the overwhelming feelings that I had after coming out of the test.
My scores:
VA - 11.33

QA - 26

DI - 22
Total - 59.33
VA was indeed quite balanced and can be believed to be of medium difficulty level.
QA was pathetically easy and anything above 18 can be believed to be a safe score. A score of 30+ was very much achievable for people comfortable with quants and sound concepts
DI was again a mix of very easy to medium level difficulty. The one markers should have been necessarily attempted and got all right. The set on astrology (or whatever) in 2 marks was a must attempt and so were the 2 DS questions. I couldn't crack the one on Sets and still repenting. The last set could have been attempted by ones familiar with such sets.
My take on cut offs:
VA - 15
QA - 18-20 (20 may sound unrealistic given the fact that it was a 50 mark section)
DI - 16
OA - 62-65
For the ones who never took this simcat here's the pattern:
Each section carried 50 marks with 30 questions in every section
Subdivided into sec A and B. Sub sec A had 10 qns each of 1 mark and Sub sec B - 20 qns each carrying 2 marks. Negative markings of 1/3rd of the marks alloted to every qn.
Overall an easy paper to say the least.
