hi guys,
it seems that there is lot of excitement here regarding our time of meeting and probably the mode also.well ....we will meet thats for sure.im reaching on 13th so will be on lookout for acco.lets hope it is not that taxing.abhi u have my attention and so do i, so we need not worry abt acco.i hope u would reach there on 13th.i think we can enjoy or relax for this week as we have lots to study...so relax and enjoy and when as the college has already made it clear that for starting few days everybody has to stay outside campus so i guess there nothing much to discuss save the fact that we get acco near the college.see yu guys soon and excuse me if im not posting mails regularly.

what can i say but hang in there and hopefully we'l meet u there... i know how irritating this work ex thing is... i could not put my 1 & 1/2 yrs woork ex with ITC grand marath sheraton in mumbai, cause i got my corespondance degree after leaving the job.it really sucks... after all that time put in its nullified because of stupid rules of theirs! as though people working in copmpanies not listed in the stock exchange is't work ex?????

i am ok with 4o clock meeting right in front of the managemnt block.. i will get there on 13th night.. so 14th morn will get buy going to pay up for the accomo..
2500 includes shelter and electricity and water... also may be tea and coffee whih i never drink
Also since i had a relative staying there.. accomo was not so much a problem... i think i have found a roommate too... she just got in touch with me a couple of days back and said she too has booked it... well she is not on PG i guess...
hey dress code should not be so much of a problem... that shou7ld be the last thing on the mind...
Well Rahul its sad to hear that it happend to u... i heard Dhiraj too had something similar..... But once u make it.. all u will remember is that u atleast made it.. all this will hardly matter...i am sur you will make it...

All those interested... there is a guy in college who is like a broker who will help u out with regards to the flats... just be careful...its MUMBAI

Goit a ridiculuos problem here which has turned my life upside down and prevented me from being a part of KJSom so far .. 
I was waitlisted at 31 but wen i reported on 17th with the dd i was told tha i had been awarded 10 marks for my work ex which i was not entitled to hence my merit order is changed and i will have to wait.

I was there with u when u came to meet the Mr. Narsimham.
What is your new waitlist no buddy ?
One of the seniors told me that they even call after the waitlist too.
So hope for the best.

I can understand your loyalty towards the instt. you are joining..!! And I hope you would believe me that I knew that it is very well written in the prospectus..!! If that is so...didn't the senior profs who came to interview ppl in Bangalore knew the rules..!!

Dude, it is OK to have loyalties towards the instt, but what is wrong has to be accepted by you as well..!!

The very comments of profs who came to interview ppl in Bangalore were "Work-ex of more than one year from any known company would be counted irrespective of the stock-exchange listing...

and based on that, all were asked to submit the work-ex letters..

So what about the credibility of the words of the profs..??? Accepting what is wrong, would not make you a lesser mortal...!! Rather it would be appreciated..!!

Looks like everyone seems to be on consensus regarding the meeting place and time, for me 4 pm in the evening at the simsr block is OK and i will be there. I hope to finalise acco on tht day and most landlords i guess wud be requiring intial token money equal to a months rent. The person i spoke to says tht it will be a deal on a proper revenue stamp paper, to put ppls fears to rest abt mumbai , yes u can argue in all probability Mr telgi might be the sole supplier of this paper . In fact having spent some time in all metros except delhi, i can say with confidence tht as a new comer into this city one can be most confortable in mumbai then any other metro. Ppl at stations go out of their way to give directions and the autos are certainly more trustworthy then their counterparts in chennai, bangalore in the south.

Rahul, i sincerely identify with your problem because i had to go thru a similar grind with the authorities. On the 13th when i went to pay the fees i was told that my 1 yr 10 months stint at philips will not be considered because my first year was as a management trainee even though i committed to have my boss vouch for me saying tht i was doing the same full time job before and after confirmation. The dude even wanted to know if Philips was listed when i was working there, after i told him it had delisted last year. I had to spend 2 nerve racking hours at the institute before the registrar came and told me tht i hade made it by virtue of my acads, perf in GD/PI. hopefully nobody wud be made to go thru this grind again, good luck mate,

One more thing...why most of the guyes on this board r not interested in Hostel.
It seems to be cheepest one. ( Actually even i want to stay out...but my parents r insisting 4 hostel.)

It felt good that there are ppl who care and are willin to help me too..
Well i too came to know that ppl are called aven beyond the waitlist posted on the website .. Others like IMI Delhi too follow nthe same pattern ..
But the problem in my case is that i had lost whole 10 marks which threw me down to waitlist 381.. There i dont have much of hope...

Anyways i''ll be givin a final call to the DG today and then will brace myself up for a focussed prep for CAT 2005 .


And Bhaskar can you tell me a bit more elaborately what exactly was done in your case ..
Actually i also met a student who had Exp. in family Business.
Though he was in the provisional list Yet he was thrown back by 10 marks and is now at merit order 280 !!

Now i am bracing myself up to put all this behind me and move on which i will...
