Am really surprised to get all calls. But then I guess they have given a good weightage to profile.
As for peerconal satisfaction I think even if the interview doesnt go well, you are happy if you are yourself in the interview. I tried to mug up answers and potray someone else in my Ahmedabad interview. They didnt ask those questions and yet I felt pathetic after the interview. In all other interviews I went with the attitude that I dont care a bit. I am what I am. I they take me good, else I dont fit into their system. I returned satisfied after all of them.
I had enough support in my profile for my SoP (even though most people have similar SoP) and was able to convince all of them that this is what I have really wanted to do in life. Moral of the story "Don't try and be natural. BE NATURAL. "

IIM B GD was very good- lucky to be in a classy group actually; the PI was a stress interview, was bombarded with some pretty detailed techie questions- full respect for these profs, they really do their homework before interviewing! The breadth of topics in the interview was awesome- Martin Luther King, Motorola's Iridium, Tolstoy, Enron, Worldcom, Joseph Stiglitz, Gandhi..wow!

K gd: Good PI: Good (Didn't ask any tough questions was confident of atleast this one.

C gd: bad PI: avg (a very simple interview..
L gd: worst PI: bad (turned out of be sort of gk quiz..and mine gk is real bad most of my answers were I don't know.. answered few question taking my own time and explaining him with diagrams whatever I knew...lasted good 35 min.. never thought I would convert it..)
I gd: avearge PI: worst, could not answer a lot of acad related questions which should have benn answered.

Well couple of suggestion i can make in retro-spection:
1. saying I don't know and maintaining a simle on your face done't harm you..
2. Ask panel for time to think... (like let me gather my thoughts for a couple of seconds.) In A, faced a lot of similar instances. Like I was asked for what was was your BTech proj.. I never thougtht about that in at-least last couple of years..
3. If you find the articulation/eplaining things in a lucid manner to be a problem, Try to draw a diagram to explain things.. like I was asked about VAT, I drew 3 stages of rice industry and explained to him how the tax calculations would be on the three steps... don't worry about what you don't know but let them have a complete picture of what you know... panel doesn't know what you achieved.. you need to tell them..
4. In none of 5 interviews I was asked to Introduce myself..In 2 the questions started before I was seated...don't assume they will ask some question and you might be able to drop hint for what to follow....!
