Well it has always been the dream to post on the this coveted thread ever since I joined PG...
Well my history goes like this
X:82.3 from Govt school in a small town in AP
XII: 90.7
BE: 78.8 from GITAM College of Engineering, Vishakapatnam...
I worked in Wipro Hyderabad for 34 months
CAT Story:
CAT 2003: 98.39%ile with a skewed score in DI. Did not apply any other colleges other than IIMs and obviously no calls from them
CAT 2005: 78.83%ile. Prepared well but pressure did me completely...
CAT 2006: 98.51%ile with DI:98.98 QA:91.77 and VA:96.30
Got call from only IIM Indore....
Well with IIMI I was waitlisted at 30 and finally made it... 
This year had been a successful in terms of all other calls like NITIE,IIFT,SJMSOM and IITD.
My only piece of advice is to keep belief in you and dont put too much pressure on yourself.

A dream come true - an opportunity to post on this sacred thread on Pagalguy!!! I have so badly wanted my rank to display IIM X, and today I have it. 
X: 84.27 % ---:neutral:

BE: 62.52 % ---
Heres my CAT story
CAT 2005: Slogged my buttocks off, only to panic in the exam.
Result: DISASTER. 94.33 %ile. My panicking cost me at least 12 marks, which would have meant that I would have had 99%ile +. Moral of the story: Change in format or not, chill
CAT 2006: Hardly any prep. Max three weeks. Borrowed material from my friend and solved papers.
Result:99.13%ile
Calls IIMC and IIM I
Converts: IIMC
I have pathetic grades when compared to most people here. Yet, I am in one of the finest MBA institutes in the country. What brings me here? I guess the belief that I could make it, and some hard work prior to CAT. Most people can get here. But they lose themselves in the mire of percentiles and mocks.
As regards to gyaan on interviews and GD/PI, I would say that one remains to be true to himself in the PI. Relax and enjoy the interaction with the IIM profs. Its something not many people get. The GD is a lottery actually, and depends on the group. Just dont be too aggressive.

quite late in getting to reply. Life here is really busy.
cat % 99.39 with 97 around in each section.

C: Bad GD, Extremely bad interview. the guy literally threw me out of the room, while i was pleading- gimme another chance. hopeless case
K: ok GD, but was aggresive against a girl's opinion,and therfore the whoel group ind of went gainst me.
ok interview, couldn't answer majority of GK questions.
L: Good GD, extremely good interview. the lady was really impressed with me. was sure of cracking it.
A: ok gd. good interview. not started on a good fight, but situation improved,as interview progressed. in the last stages, it was really satisfying.
I: was sure about this time about L. therefore wasn't serious enough. good gd. interview was also ok. my answers were more of casual, and speculative, rather tahn serious and firm. but the panelists seemed to agree with me.

Fresher...decent acads, decent extra currics-sports and all.
Totally acads based interview mainly around my B.Tech. project. some application oriented questions on metallurgy and materials.
Case based GD: design incentive scheme for sales employees of a clothing store. some problems mentioned. Great GD...great points came through. participated throughout with suggestions...did the gatekeeping part when it became chaotic. The group was awesome, 6 out of 10 people finally joined A!
