The first official communication from IIMs is out :smile:
CAT 2008 applications will be on sale from tomorrow...
For regular repeaters, there is no change in the criteria, duration etc...
For the benefit of first timers:-Eligibity criteria - 50% in bachelors degree (final year students need to get a certificate), 45% (SC/ST)
Date of exam: 16.11.2008
Exam duration - 2.5 hours
Sale of applications starts on: 14.07.2008
Sale of application ends on : 08.08.2008 (AXIS Bank),
13.08.2008 (IIMs)
Last date for receipt of filled applications: 05.09.2008
Application cost: 1300/- General & Obc, 650 /- SC/STApplication can be obtained from :-AXIS Bank, IIM & can be downloaded from www.catiim.in
CAT SCORE CARD would be released on: 09.01.2009
Results on: 10.04.2009
No of Sections : 3

it will be CAT 2008, not 2007
plz edit your post
i have a question also, i think last year there was some restriction about use of digital watches. this year there is nothing mentioned about that.
so i think one can use them!!!!
Most people are alive only because it is illegal to shoot them

It felt very nostalgic after seeing the CAT08 notification in the TOI today ...:sarcasm:
I was amazed by the fact that only 3 weeks since our classes have started for the batch 2008-2010 & already the CAT notification is out for batch 2009-11 :huh:
Anyways , ATB to all the Puys appearing for CAT 08 ...

This time the cost of CAT is higher, did anyone notice that? It's 1300/650 -compared to 1100/550 compared to last year
Oh, same site, new look. This new official CAT site looks a lot better than last years site.

For the first time, the IIMs have asked for the Work experience SECTOR in addition to the number of months. Hail the IIMs!!!!! We shall now get to see that 36 (IT) is not equal to 36(Banking).........

Enclose with the Application Form
(a) 3rd copy of Bank’s/IIM’s Pay-in-Slip,
(b) A copy of Bachelor’s degree certificate/provisional certificate/ proforma that you are in the final year or have completed the final year but are awaiting results, and have obtained at least 50% marks
(c) A copy of mark sheet indicating percentage marks scored in graduation if your degree education has been completed, or the latest available mark sheet in case you are in the final year or have completed final year but are awaiting results,
(d) Copy of OBC/SC/ST and/or Disability Certificate, if applicable, and
(e) One additional copy of the photograph with your name and CAT Application Form Number written at the back.
