I can't be around to answer the queries, so please try to help yourselves as much as possible. I am sure active puys from Kolkata (eg. Souvick) will take care of the questions part. My role can be of a coach only.

I saw threads for almost all the City teams, except Kolkata. Precisely the reason I had to take the responsibility of starting this. I expect more enthu from the Kolkata junta. Come on guys, Do it together.

I had requested Anir-iim2005 to be the coach of Kolkata Dream team. being a member of DT 2007 with exemplary performance in CAT 2007 (both CAT and GD with 100% strike rate), I could think of no one else to guide us through this year.

Friends start pouring in nominations early. We need atleast 8 nominations. So rush.The privilege to be a part of PG DT Kolkata is all yours now.

i raise my hand in eager anticipation to represent the City of joy in this battle of bravehearts in quest for the best MBA institutes in dis country...

and believe me souvick...u have chosen jus the right person...it cudn have been a better start for the team...a person whose grit,tenacity and determination we have all admired...who knws d battleground as good as any1 else...hes d ideal representative and coach for PG Kolkata DT 08....

CAT has become a way of life ever since Nov 06 wen i first went to a tutorial to casually enquire bt dis exam....n trust me eva since i came in touch with the materials, d practise tests i was in love with dis thing...

crackin CAT became d sole obsession...but as destiny wil have it...faltered in 07 season...secured 96%ile...still out f nowhere got an IIM-S call...with the sole intention of converting it participated in d GD-PI...went well...n finally converted it...was happy nevertheless....bt somethin smewhere wasnt satisfied...

so here i am...in my quest to battle it out yet another time...to give it my all and to help my fellow batchmates do d same...its now or neva...we r gonna do it together...CAT 08 beckons!!!

as for 08 season...

AIM 20- 94.61%ile
AIm 19- 99.34%ile
AIM 18- 94.41%ile

SIM 1- 99.28%ile
SIM 2- 94.30%ile

a bit mercurial i kno...bt den its a bit rusty to start with...i am workin hard to get d finer things straight...n most importantly i believe its self belief that makes all the difference...its bt faith...bt how strong ur in d mind...

i believe i can do it...a dedicated group here will only be of immense help in ma strive 2 xcel...i can vouch for one thing..selected or not...i will help this team in every possible way i can...and if selected won't disappoint my team...sunday ftr sunday we wil fight...n fight harder...till we reach our dream destinations....

lots more 2 discuss...bt dat can b done in strategy sessions...n identifyin each other strengths n weaknesses n workin n dat nce d team is finalised and d season kicks off...

we wil pool in all our resources and make dis a success...place our dear city atop the rankings every month...and on PG homepage too!!!

Nice initiative....i am striving hard to run the CAT race...but still finding it difficult to come out of the laid back attitude that has taken over me (due to the last 3 years of engg. studies )....my mock scores hovers in the range of 80-90%ile with a disastrous CL mock of 65%ile (although to me mock scores hardly matter....net practice e bhalo perform na korlei ba ki ashe jay... its the real match that counts)....so guess no scope for being in the team as of now...however i vow to comeback with better score...will be awaiting sum suggestions from anir-iim...guess enuf said

Got Rik's message......well my preparations haven't started off with a huge bang......so i dont know if my scores wud be the best scores in the group....but in case we need people, then I am in........

i might be in mumbai right now, but I am a HARDCORE CALCUTTAN......so anytime we put it over the Mumbaikars.....ill be very very happy

count me in the Kolkata team.........just for the record my percentile in AIMCAT 0918 was around 85......( started from the 3rd AIMCAT of time....registered a bit late)...........

First of all I must say this PGMCPL sounds very interesting. It reminds me of the thrill and excitement all of us had during the IPL. What else can be a better idea to incorporate that enthusiasm in our race to bell the Cat !!

Well, as for my preparations I am trying my level best to sustain myself in this race.The start hasnt been very good but improvement is happening (though at a sluggish pace). My mock cat scores are as follows:

I would like to be part of this new exciting venture.
I know that people are judged by their last performance. But in the last AIMCAT I was trying a new stratergy, the result is in the link given below.
AIMCAT 0920 & 0919 were decent(barring VA). I am working on my VA and other sections too. Hope to improve in the up-coming AIMCATs.

They Anir Bhai count me in to. I wonder if u remember me(Ankit). was one of the few who attended the last P.G. meet and ur treat in pizza hut.

My score in Aimcats are not dat gr8 as of now. but m sure ll start hittin good once soon.

Aimcat 20 & 19- did nt get the score. lost hope after gettin frustrated.I HATE TIME institute.

Aimcat 18- 82%ile

Cat 2007-93%ile if dat can help.(wid a 1 in eng)

aimcat018-filled up wrong details.got a score of 85 when i calculated(dont knw the percentile)
Simcat-85%ile
hope to do better in the next sim/aim cat..joining this team will benefit me a lot..And in return i can help out my team memebers in the possible way i can..
