Brilliant idea, the PG premier league ! Ive been a keen observer of the PG dream team 07 thread and always wanted to be part of such an initiative
and hence my nomination for the Hyderabad team.
Heres a little background
X(CBSE) : 86.8%
XII(AP) : 94.4%
BE(CSE) :74% (MVSR College of Engg, OU)
Currently working at TCS, Hyderabad since 2 months
But all that is just a formality
, heres what that counts ;
CAT 06: 93.6%ile : Just a typical 'lets try CAT' first attempt kind of thing, thats when i became a CAT pagal
and promised myself ill go to an IIM.
CAT 07: 95.03%ile: A sincere, full of effort year of prep, gone horribly wrong in 2 and half hours, somethings which ive cried and smiled over and its fired me to do it this year at any cost!
Other results in the season:
Snap: 110.25, Final selection in SIBM Pune,
NMAT: AIR 26,final selection in NMIMS
Xat:98.3%ile, missed QA cut off, no calls
FMS: 99.43%ile, WL -38 in FMS
Yet, here i am nominating myself for the team coz its an IIM that i want to study in and nowhere else would satisfy my dream.
The seasons given me a confidence that i can do it this year and its just that belief thats getting me good mock scores so far (without time for prep, something that ill def rectify)

Ill do my best, once i start dusting those quant books
to improve my scores and take it to a different level. I know i can do much better. (Its not just me, we all get that feeling after analysing a mock though
)
I also plan to take the SIMCAT series as takeaway this season.(since 2 consecutive mocks every sunday last year dint work for me)
My best points:
> Have one year of the grind of MBA entrance season,and a bit of success at converting calls, might come in handy later to the team
> Am a good team player and motivator, i know what demoralization can do during mocks and can help if any one has a mid-season crisis(which we all have!!)
> Have made a commitment to my dream of an IIM and now!!! no next year or the year after that, its batch of 2011. All the decisions ive taken in the past 6 months has been aligned with this dream.
>My belief in the spirit of PG and the so called "Pg-effect" when u share your knowledge and work in a team to achieve a common case. The motivation ill get if selected in this team will surely fire me on to work harder and harder and justify my selection (this point taken from anir-iim2005)
