The DI set is perfectly done!

But in QA question,a silly mistake is dre,u have taken 60+80 = 160. and that is where the difference of 20 (300) comes up, since the answer is 350.

hey guys..

Somethings wrong with my score...
actually had calculated 72 and have got 56.. even the Q i attempted are not the same as the analysis of my score says.. i called up the TIME centre at delhi where i registered( on the advice of our captain who is dam helpful all the time!!).. they said they can't really do anything... i had given the paper in mumbai.. any clues as to wat i can do? has ne1 gone thru the same thing?

anyways...surprising to c that at a score of 56. %tile is 94.9!!

Regarding the way i did that quant question. would like deepanshu, to check whether is this way correct or not

The total money distributed is

100*190 = 19000
200*220 = 44000
300*180 = 54000

Total 117000

The total money received by the students who came more than once

30*800 = 24000
40*700 = 28000
60*600 = 36000
20*300 = 6000

Tota 94000

So that means the left over money ie 117000-94000 = 23000 has to be divided in a way that there are maximum no. of students.

For this there are many combinations possible viz

and with one combination the number of students is 360, also u can get combination where the number of students are 350 and hence i took the answer as 350

friend! M a lil apprehensive abt this approach,suppose 360 and 350 both are in options. ???

Now, since 23000 is left, so one can only divide that money in terms of 100,200 and 300...

hence x+2y+3z = 230...now how does one know that what be can the right value of x,y,z. ???

The exact value is surely dependent upon the way one distributed the money earlier....like 30 boys got 800,so to maximise x(100s), i will make sure that i use more amount of 300s and 200s rather than 100s. hence i wud get an exact usage of 300s and 200s in this combo

Similarly proceeding one can get all the exact usages of in every combo..

and finally a concrete answer in terms of x,y,z and that wud be 350.

Although if you got it correct in the paper then .

this TIME'S website is the worst of all. first of all while registering password is hardly delivered to ur mailbox. everytime one has to call up the center and today these r not even picking up the phone.
