Re: PG Premier League - Chennai Dream Team - 08-07-2008, 04:37 PM

Guys I have shared a google doc which contains the contact details of all. I have shared this file only with 10 team members and I would do it for others when they confirm participation.

Changes are to be made regarding the score updation and stuff. I haven't done that.

Office me thoda kaam hai. Isliye haven't been finding time.

Regards,
Nish

Monster boy... WELCOME buddy.. Feels like ur back home.. We missed u.. Trust me..

Thank God ur surprised and not shocked at the captaincy thingy. Well, im shocked though

Jokes apart... Here goes the purpose of this post:

I was just thinking and this struck me

Because I play with excel a lot, I thought lets play together

What I mean is.. We would be punching in our scores in that excel spreadsheet.. Fine.. What purpose does it serve??

So here comes the answer..

We would map these scores to a graph which would keep reflecting our performance and the direction that we are into. This would be amazing in the sense that it would obviously point out our forte and as well as our weak areas.

We could get a better picture of our performance this way

We can actually go about having graphs on the following areas:

1. Graphs on every individual player. We would have a dedicated sheet in the same spreadsheet for every team member and possibly for the others who will make it to the team going forward.

2. We will have graphs on every sectionwise performance of every member. (3 graphs in total)

3. We would have an overall graph of all the tests taken by that member and see the trend of his percentiles.

4. We would have a graph of all the members' performance together so that we can assess who's leading the pack and who're the underdogs..

This is an excellent way to assess our strengths and improvement areas. I remember these graphs were pretty prominent in the IMS student pages last year. They were a very good tool. Why not have something like this now??

This would require immense support from u all. I personally do not know those V Look-up options and stuff of MS Excel though I work on them a lot. But if someone can work on these lines it wud be ossum

Else we need to hire a DTP operator

Let me know of your feelers/suggestion, etc etc.

Cheers,
Nishu

nishu! good idea da...

i think it wd be good to monitor performances with graphs. so we have one graph for all team members with overall comparitive performance in all mocks, 3 for each member for sectional performances (this might be too much though to hve a shared sheet, but lets see) and one graph for comparitive performance of all mocks for all members? is that right? not too sure of that last graph... how we can have it done... but otherwise a great idea. i second u cappie...
