Anticipated problems in quant. Even in 910, managed a decent quant score after a lot of struggling. Yet to get comfortable in quant. Will take a while I guess. CL quant is good, distinct from TIME's. Happy to be taking mocks with you puys.

I would suggest :why dont you inform rohit aka estranged_gnrs and lets see what happens. If he gives a thumbs up to this, then you can be surely in the team.

it was a normal 25-25-25 pattern paper. i found VA tougher than normal. like Grimman said, that first passage was a speed breaker, i went for it first n was a bit disconcerted thru out the VA section. accuracy was pretty sad this time around. and how i hate those upstream downstream argument questions. if anyone cd elaborate on those further n provide sample questions, i wd be grateful.

i found qa better than usual.. at least i cd attempt a reasonable number of questions (by my standards). DI had a simple logical set and was on the easier side.

am happy that the scores are balanced this time - something that was eluding me always.

well wanted to put my prob.
its this...
aft every mock
wen i analyse my paper
i see i cud socre this much easily
jsut needed thoda sa focus more
and if i hadnt left the ques incomplete
wud hv sored easily
seen this pattern everytime
from50-60 %tile
my %tile wud touch this much easily if i dnt leave thngs incomplete
and i hv seen this that jitna
dimmaag i use its perfect
hardly any flaw in that
bas ek aur net step ka zarrorat hota hai and the ques gets unlocked by te key
that last step hardly gets to me in mocks
in qa and di ques
like its the right key needed to open the door
they key fits in
bas turn karna rahe jata hai....


and i'm pratising from mocks reglaurly..
so can anybody help me?

Well, every puy is allowed to post here as it helps you as well Chennuys.

But kindly avoid posting in Hindi, as this is Chennai thread and as everyone may not be able to understand Hindi.

Anyways, coming to your query:
Good that you can figure out your mistake and realize where you are going wrong.

-Try to do the analysis the same day as your mock

- Questions that you have almost solved i.e. 70-80% and missed out by a step or two, should be tried to solved at home i.e. dont look at the answer in the booklet straight away but try to solve again and then, if you need, have a look at the booklet.

- This I have stressed again and again, as soon as you finish the analysis, puys attempt another Mock on there own which I feel is totally wrong.
Instead, you should take up sectional test and improve speed/accuracy in that particular section.

its of institute of petroleum managemnt gandhinagar gujrat... (IPMG)..
this institute offers 2 years MBA in petroleum managemnt....... so guys who are interested can go for it...

today was the worst aimcat ive ever written..
started at 2 o clk with VA..did all 20.was ok till then..
when i moved onto QA was dam sleepy..i did 7 qns till 3.20..was so sleepy that i didnt notice i slept off
got up only at 3.50..by that time there was time only for DI..DI was so annoying that i just did 4 qns and walked off by 4..DI was just insane..
exam at afternoon will never click..
got 1 in DI
23 in QA..6 R 1 W..okish..
VA yet to calc..overall pathetic mock..i felt quant was also tough..overall paper was itself tough...not expecting a great %tile..jus thinking if i shud check my score and %tile !!!
i know so many ppl are dejected after this perfomance.im not god but i can tell u CAT will never have a paper like this
atleast in DI for sure..each DI was the size of a RC passage..lol..QA was doalable..VA was also tough..felt some qns has wrong answers but really cant argue..

P.S : I think its a wake up call for alll of us..we just have 2.5 months to go..time to shift gears..most important phase..
