Re: PaGaLGuY Mock CATs Premier League - 04-07-2008, 04:30 PM

ipl every team had some restrictions to the number of people who can be selected in a team likewise we can have a min no of 1st time takers of cat (that can be checked as people in final year of graduation..... the rule can be like minimum of 3 people in the final 11 while calculating scores) and also there should be a cap on the age limit of some of the members like every team can have only 7 or 8 in 15 (5+ yr expenced ppl....like 26 can be a realistic age limit.....most of them will have a better idea of cat and mocks than others!! )) and also other restrictions which like that in a team would come a long way in making i a good thing for all rather than the best of the best performers in the city only...! after all everyone should be encouraged...what say everyone?????????...this will make it even more interesting rather than having experienced campaigners( who score considerably better than newcomers in general) in all the teams!!!!(which would be logical by the look of things at present...i mean with the present set of rules)

Just for your records.. Most of the 100%tilers every year are freshers only...
Experienced might have a better start than freshers.... but till the CAT comes, Freshers usually outperform experienced....

Btw there could be someone at 27,takin CAT for the first time.... we have Sumitrocks as an example.... So i guess its diff to decide upon these things....

N Infact if u see...most of the oldies are opting out of the teams...and giving newbees the way to the team

A promise that i couldnt keep....

Yes there are exceptions always and the captain can make sure that the person is taking cat for the first time ( if at all its possible ...it would be Awesome!! ) ...yes you rightly pointed out that they have an advantage at the start..but that is when the team selection happens!!.....

actually i have nominated myself for the hyd team and i have not seen such an initiative where the newbies are given a chance...so thought of this

If that is the case...its truly a great initiative by the experienced ( mocks wise ) puys

Hi All,

I have a doubt.
If someone is appearing for two or multiple mocks (like I am, TIME and IMS), which scores will be taken into account for evaluation, if he/she is in the Team?

Later.

I think the person wud hav to report both the scores to his captain who ll then select the better score...alternatively u can also report only ur better score...ATB puys for tomos mock....

Re: PaGaLGuY Mock CATs Premier League - 07-07-2008, 04:56 PM

If we have more number of nominations, after selecting the playing 15 can we have a group of (say 5) underdogs within a team...?

The underdogs needs to be selected when the initial team is selected and we can either have them as replacements if any of the member is dropping out in the middle for the reasons stated in the very first post of this thread

Or let them just remain as underdogs and let them have the dream team of that city as their "benchmark"...(Similar to the DT-UDT concept)

P.S. Even after this there will be a lot more ppl left who can very well be a part of the activities in the team's thread..but just that I thought why not the UDT concept in all the teams

If you have the belief to choose your road
If you have the courage to stay on it
If you have the conviction to surmount the rough stretches
If you do..you will find the road begins to follow you

Re: PaGaLGuY Mock CATs Premier League - 07-07-2008, 07:45 PM

I just wanted to know that what should one do if an individual has been picked for more than one team.

I mean vivekkahn has posted his nomination for not only the dream team of Mumbai but also the Pune and India United team and is being considered for all the teams as well.

If he gets shortlisted for more than one team what should we do in that case?

I am not complaining about the multiple nomination by vivekkahn but wanted to clarify this point as the final dream team compilation for the Mumbai team has begun.
