hi people. i am in much dilemma right now. have just completed my 4years graduation in medicine field & have got 3jobs in hand right now. but all the 3 jobs are from 9-6 & very demanding, that is to say, even once i get back home, i'l probably have to spend sum tym on my assignments, regarding my job. hence, i'l have to really stretch it real hard, if i am preparin for CAT. jobs start in july. if i sit idle, i'l atleast get tym to make it till the interview...but if i go for a job, i might not stand a chance to clear the written itself. will 'sittin idle' hamper my chances in the interview? (special consideration to the fact that i am from medicine field).....fact is, i do not want to sit idle, work hard, & then get rejected in the interview for the sole reason that i sat idle, unlike other competitors, who work & prepare as well..& CAT In Nov, so will my job count as work experience, if ,at all?? Besides, would a job , or a research project be a better option?

please dont open new threads for individual queries. u could have very well posted the query here for better feedback n response http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/cat-an...aspirants.html (CAT 2008 Aspirants)
as I will say sitting idle wont justify the cause as u wld b severly interrogated on that. any kind of full time job is taken as work ex, but generally now bschools take more than 1 yr as work ex . otherwise u wont get any brownie points for working but yeah it wld b better than sitting at home n preparing.
coming from medical background is a definite advantage for u
have a look here too this might help http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/cat-an...fter-mbbs.html (MBA after MBBS) | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to diablorulez For This Useful Post:

hey, do suggest, if a research project would be better than a job??!! that ways, i'l atleast be able to allocate equitable time to both, project, & preparation...

Other thing you need take into consideration is: what ever you do i.e. project or job, how will you justify "why MBA"??
DO think about the above point and then decide your future course of action.
