now, what i say is just what i think....well as you perhaps know i'm just a lil more paranoid abt results than the rest of you...so keep calling up reguraly the iims office even though i live in delhi...so much so that the lady at imb now recognises my voice to an extent....and to overcome that...i ask my friends and brother to call up instead of me......
now, i feel atleast iimb and iiml are getting frustrated by recieving so many calls and having the results ready at hand...so prolly we can see some fireworks on monday

Hi Guys,

nice to see people are already playing with stats and numbers. Anyways me got 99.38 percentile..way low...4 calls ( A,C,L,I). Wont comment abt how the gd's or pi's were. results will say it all. I think if we want to derive a pattern there are too many factors on which it will depend..for ex. kind of interview (techy or HR) , Profile of batch (GD, PI batches) , Acads (score and institute) and many such things which are hard to quantify. Lets do this for some work while we wait for results. Any suggestions how these can be quantified and some patterns be examined?...
May be we will take our minds off the nightmares this way.

Few years back the weightage given to CAT GD PI at IIM-Cal was as follows

CAT : 70% with focus on quant
GD/PI : 30%

this was obtained from an admit from the horses mouth ..the prof who had taken his interview.

Disclaimer: this system may have changed long back.

One thing in favour of us freshers is that IIMK seems to be deserting IIMI and taking in a decent amount of freshers.

The 2003 batch (who's profile is now up on the IIMK site) has ~40% freshers compared to the negigible no. in 2002.
