CAT cut offs for the top management institutes

Hi all ,
I thought it would be useful for ppl like me , who are preparing for CAT 2008 , to know the cut-offs in the premiere management colleges ( IIMS and others) .......... so do reply if u have any info on the above mentioned

dude which all colls cutt off do u want ??? individual cut offs for all iims can be provided better by other pgs.... for other top colls pls let me know d name i would give u d info with best of my knowledge...

IIMs:

*Target percentiles must be: 99.5 overall and individual 96-97+ for 5-6 calls
*Sectional percentiles are as important (if not more) as overall percentile
* 98+ is required to get into a comfort zone for top 10 schools.
* cut-offs mentioned are safe cut-offs. Not the minimum cut-off required.

Target percentile refers to what one must keep in mind while preparing and will definitely result in few calls.

B call depends on your past history too. 10th/12th/college marks.

CAT cutoff is totally subjective issue it changes every year ..n there is no hard n fast rule that can be applied to colleges other than IIMs..

m putting here the cut offs of colleges other than IIMs this year

MDI-97%ile sectionals 80
Nitie: if first preference was Industrial mgmt- 98.25 sectional 80
IMT-G 95%ile no sectionals
IMI-96%ile 50%ile sectionals
Fore: 91. 30%ile sectionals
LBSIM: 91%ile
Nirma: 91%ile sectional 50%ile
KJSOM 91%ile

iima- 99.3(overall) 95.6(sectional)
iimc 98.9(overall) 95.07(sectional)

cut-offs will increase next year as no of students will increse so same rank will be acheived at higher percentile

Guys , if I have 98 percentile plus , will i be able to make it to the top 10 cols ??

Having 98+ percentile is really a touch and go situation. It will depend on your profile then as far as IIMs are concerned. You might get call from 1 or 2 IIMs.
