Well, even if buffer calls are there, the calls are always confirmed. Buffer calls don't mean that some people getting the calls can be rejected later, that's not possible.

AFAIK, even in WL movement, institutes give some buffer calls. Like, this WL movement of 20 may mean actually 15 seats are still left vacant. But again, last year too, WL movement was very less initially but it picked up later.

All in all, guessing WL movement is the toughest job to do. I know it's not easy to sit still when so much is at stake, but it will be better not to guess the movement.

Earlier,u were rejected by IIML??What do u mean??U were not even waitlisted??N still got a seat??

a strange thing has happened.... on 1st may... the IIM L site said that i did not make it... not even waitlist...


but today i received a letter which claims that my waitlist status has been confirmed for admission!!!!!

with no IIM admits before, i dunno whether to party or gear myself up!

Hey..R u sure u checked BOTH the links on the IIM-L website?

IIM L was the only one which had 2 separate links for Selected students & Waitlisted students...Initially even i thought i was rejected but later realised there was a separate link for waitlist.

Thats shocking!! God knows whether he checked both the links as pointed out by Joel..

N also I want to know from him only,what his waitlist numbr is accd to the letter..(if at all it is mentioned)

apologies to all...

yes i had checked on the waitlist thread before (as pointed out by Joel)... but i had entered my birthdate in the wrong format... (i didnt include '/')... coming from the CS background.. it's kinda shame!

i regret to have caused inconvenience though!

PS: my WL number mentioned on the site is/was 18...

I'll be pulling out my admission from IIM-L after a few days when I get back home. So wl will move at least by 1. MY IIM-C wl dint convert, so CAT-08 for me..

Based on what I have read through IIM-B W/L threads and IIM-L helpline thread Helpline for IIML Class of 2010 • Index page, following puys will pull their admission out of IIM-L and that should impact the next movement for IIM-L on the 3rd of June:

Please add more to the above list incase you're aware of any pullouts after 1st W/L for all IIMs was released.
