The answer was cube series...Option 5...

They have correctly explained the solution in their answer key but given the wrong option as answer...

tHe aswer is Cubic.
Take f(1)=1 and substitute values and you get the answer.

p.s. I had marked fibonacci then I changed it

i gave the test in Delhi, got 36 marks, i think DI was a bit tough, but it was a kick start for me as i m preparing for CAT for 1st time.

My first SIM CAT. It was a good experience. Made all possible wrong decisions in DI
I hope i will improve in next SIM CATs

My score

VA: 23 8C 9W
QA: 26 7C 2W
DI: 14 4C 2W
Total : 63

Next SIM CAT is on 22nd june..

am not sure if ims comes out with an analysis or not, anyways u can analyse it urself and when the percentiles come u will no where u stand

Hi Puys,

So the journey to CAT 2008 started with IMS Open SIMCAT on 18th May.
Lets see whats there in store this year.

My Scores:
VA - 20 (7C 8 W)
LR - 46 (12 C 2 W)
QA - 46 (12 C 2 W)

Total - 112

Not a bad start though !!!

I sincerely feel 32+ in VA section would be a descent score. What you puys say ?

I am referring to the solution given in 27. I did not understand the step 33n - m = 28n - 28. 33n - m is understood But why is it equated to 28m-28? Is there any other approach to it?

Here they have taken the possible set of values for a,b and c. But it might not always work. Is there any other standard approach to it?

This SIMCAT was quite similar to last year's CAT paper. My scores are

VA - 39 ( 11C,5W)
QA - 39 ( 10C,1W)
DI - 58 ( 15 C,2W)


I am taking the answer of Q 49 as (5) otherwise my QA score is 34.
