an hour and half into the test i got a migrane headache. Had to leave after 2 hours... but from what i attempted, here is my score

Quant:

Att: 9
Corr: 6
Score: 21



DI:
Att: 8
Correct: 6
Score 22



English:
Att: 18
Corr: 13
Score: 47

OA: 90

Quite bad.. In fact hrrofic.. but i think i can do better...

Relax mate. LI had taken Sim Cats last year and trust me, not once did i clear the quant cut offs. Always had a score between 15-25. But in the actualy CAT managed a 96 percentile in quant. Quant is my weak link. So instead of really trying to miximixe it, my first step was to consolidate. If the number of questions are 45 or below per section, make sure you go through all the question and attemp only thos ebased on logic or plain susbstitution. I managed to solve 12 in last years CAT with a score of 32. Just scour and solve easy ones. There will be atleast 7-10 of those. you'll clear the cut offs atleast.

Along with this, keep going through your reference materiel to sure up your basics and soon you'll be able to attempt a few tough ones as well.

Well,after seeing all the scores posted here.. i don't feel i qualify to post here.... was totally out of touch since CAT 07... went with 0 prep this yr...

My scores,

QA(7C 1W) 27
DI(3C 3W) 9 was totally clesless abt it... couldn't solve 2 complete sets...
VA(8C 4W) 28

OA: 64

I don't see myself clearing any cut-offs this time... Lets see how I go ahead...

And so the season kicks off

Not that i did so well...

DI : 50 minutes(7 c 2 w) 26 Totally messed up the first set, missed out on 16 marks

VA: 55minutes(11 c 11 w) 33 I guess va can be a real lottery sometimes.

QA: 45 minutes(13 c 2 w) 50 Found it a very doable section.


Overall: 109


Not a professional enough performance for a season opener. Have to be more careful while solving DI sets. VA as i said, is more of a lottery.


PS. Newbies do not get disheartened by any high scores posted here by others. I went through a similar complex last year.Some of the guys are really experienced at giving mocks. It takes some test taking practice, finetuning of strategy and building of concepts to reach that stage. Theres loads of time left and loads of work left to do too.

Well I don't agree to ur question 48's argument.. The answer seems perfectly right to me!! Prolly u can reread the question n see if u have missed out on any subtle point made there...

Dnt take ur QA score of only 1 mock very seriously.Analyse ur mistakes and find out the solution to your weakness.If u lack in theory then you have sufficient time to go through it.I guess finally practise prevails.

THere was a qn in verbal which had mortgagors/mortgagees as an option.Shouldnt mortgagors be correct?

Nope... He would be the mortgagor since he was willing to mortgage his property... Even i got a bit confused and solved the others and marked the option...

I made the same mistake.. TIME is right with the keys... A mortgagor (also mortgager) is a person who borrows money.. And a mortgagee is one who lends a loan and is a creditor.. Thus the answer, Mortgagee..
