IIM I PGP Batch of 2010 : Queries and Discussion

HI seniors...could u please tell us what all we should be getting to college...i.e clothes , bed , curtains , bucket ..i know this might sound little stupid but then these are the necessary things...

1. As far as I have heard/know it is going to be a work ex heavy batch but will have to wait and see how much of them have actually converted and joined.

2. Yes it does matter. 20 months would be a safe number

3. class of 2008 was very heavily fresher oriented while ours is clearly a huge work ex batch.

Just to reiterate
You'll be provided bed, computer tables, cupboards, curtains, water flask, chairs, dustbins, tubelights, fans and every other imaginable and unimaginable stuffs (ok i know i m going too far)

Class of 2009 has an average work ex of around 23 months .. you can access the details of the batch on Indian Institute of Management Indore - pgp0709-1

minimum work ex for laterals differs from company to company so it would be hard to say on an ad hoc basis .. but if there is a batch with work ex of 10 months and another with 30 months .. yes the average work ex would make a difference ... however i reiterate it varies from company to company

dunno about hyd to indore, but indore to institute...best way with luggage is to catch an auto. should not take more than 150 bucks.

Can you tell us bit more on the academic tie-ups..What univs..How many students usually get an opportunity to go and for what duration usually..What is the criteria for selection etc

We have tie up with universities in France, US, Canada, Germany, Newzealand and some other countries.. I do not remember names of all the universities some of which i remember areEM Lyon, NEU, Boston, USA, AIE-Aix, France,Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, Germany... You can check further details on the institute website...

This year everybody who opted for a student exchange program got a university outside.. They go for for one term which is 5th term here... and the criteria of selection is your SOP, interview and grades.
