Probably can help us in analysing the situation in a better way.

Hi All,
I understand how tough it must be for all of u to pass these days...Just to give u the exact figures for last yr in case you don't know...there were 330 calls for 240 seats and waitlist moved till 14..However, the point to be noted is that 249 students were offered final admission- in other words about 95 students joined some other B school or went abroad for their MBA/MS instead of joining IIMB. This yr as someone already mentioned and is also clear from the admission pdf, 300 students in General category have been offered admission for 251 seats.I hope better analysis can be done now

Does anyone have any information about Category based wl clearing ? I know that all the numbers posted here are general category based. Is there any thread which has this information from the last years? Also, those who got in the waitlist will clear it if the buffer calls are exhausted (49/300) right? and the category based wl are independent of each other right ?

(I am wl 12 in SC)

Just an info for people who have not received any letter from IIMB till now.

I myself received a letter from IIMB yesterday stating that I should confirm to them whether I wud be in a position to join IIMB incase I am offered admission.This confirmation must reach them by 10th May else we wud not be considered for WL movement.Also they need us to mention the email address and contact number where they can intimate us at short notice.

Do u have any info about the overlapping calls last year?
The figure mentioned this time is 137.

Am more than a lil anxious coz B was my lone IIM call

Hi,
I do have the exact figures of overlapping calls of IIMB vis-a-vis IIMA and C courtesy being an elected member here. But as per my understanding, i can't reveal info thats not in public domain...But u can safely assume that the figures are largely similar...

arpitshah10 hasn't voted in the poll and I found one more gal @ IIMC community on orkut who won't be joining our dream B-skool!

so that makes it 13 guys for sure...would request fellow puys to post here if they have any concrete information...

regarding the waitlist - yes, it is independent for each category...as I had mentioned earlier, last year the buffer was 61 (240 calls for 179 seats) and then the WL moved till 14 as mentioned by Sourabh...so effectively 75 more guys were required to fill up the general seats...this year the buffer is 27 and seats have increased to around 186...so it'd be 27+x this year...let's hope that x goes upto 50 here and we all get into IIMB!
