as far as the last query was concerned I think its d most probable explaination, dat dey want d whole batch to start together...
although I wud still like to know how it wud effect the schedule of the course 1 month late start does it mean everything gets late by a month or do we squeeze everything in wotever time we have...

and yeah boss number of seats also... its supposedly 30 +- 3 so between 27 and 33 dats a range of 20% its too much of a range ... and between 27 and 33 about 15-20 wl can clear or not clear...

WL 11 isn't far Hold your nerves. Even your PGPM I would say, is quite within striking distance. Chances are that, you would convert both the calls. Have patience. And start deciding which one suits your profile and personality better.

rest there is no other fees for 2nd yr... n students stay outside col hostel.. cos its cheaper.. atleast this is d case in London...

@ seniors... wot is the tentative date of comencement of course any latest news...

because if its late enuff we can expect more waitlists...

on a serious note... I think the question is important as I have to resign( one month notice period)... I can wait for watlist to clear if course starts in july can even draw full june's salary... else I will resign now (will have to take the risk but I think at wl 11 its ok)...

Dont know wat to say on it..

For 30 seats they took 40 in first list, so in secodn list also it wont be more than 35 may be.. to be very optimistic..
so then also i dont clear it..
Hence my only chance is if third list comes..
Seniors plz guide if my calculation is wrong..
M i being optimistic thinking abt the third list or is it realistic..

I am not a senior still have been listening and learning a lot about waitlist movements so here is my take on it...

1st a few facts ...
about 32 seats...
last year waiting cleared 78..
and dis time ppl called almost in order of cat percentile so lots of clashing with other calls... for example amongst d first 100 ranks 65 ppl have confirmed or wl under 300 calls from PGPM also... besides due to higher percentile calls this time a lot of clash wud be der with IMT, IMI, and even IIMs for dat matter... this factor leads to more clearing of wl den last year as last year d percentile of guys called was a lil lesser ...

on d other hand der is d opposite factor of more ppl applying dis time and the course being more known and having more acceptability...
which wud lead to more ppl taking up d course...

dese two factors will clash and have the final effects on waitlist movements....
although 1st factor will dominate yet how much is to be seen...

now anyways coming to ur question...
will d 2nd waiting list to clear have 35 ppl...
well it depends on how many decide to take up amongst the 40 who have been called in 1st list...
amongst dese 40 guys arnd 25 r waitlisted inside wl 300 of PGPM wich I think will positively clear sooner or later...
so maybe dis time d wl might be 25 but eventually it will keep moving... as more ppl draw out...
besides from d latest information (coutesy varun) the number of guys paiying up fees amongst dose who had confirmed calls in the very 1st list was 5... which leaves about 27 seats at stake (not considering the fact that dose 5 might still drop the seats )...

der is another positive factor that perhaps the date of commmencement of course has been postponed to mid july or early august... which means theoritically the waitlists can keep coming till that time...

So well I wud say the chances of a 3rd list are quite positive and we will almost definitely be having it for PGPIM...

Hey Puys!

Today went to MDI,Gurgaon to deposit my first installment for PGPIM Prog.

Special thanks to sinsitercancer & MML for for providing me all the insights to the course. It really helped.

Now, this information might be of help to everyone. So here goes:

My receipt no. is 5 & in the first WL(released on 9th May) no one has paid up the fees till now out of 40 odd people. Still early days. So, this means 4 people before me have joined PGPIM. Definitely good new for WL people.

Me too will join PGPM if i get it(Personal Reasons), though the course structure is awesome as even the PGPM guys are drooling over it(2007-09 Batch).

Now for the Questionaire which i had asked:

1. On what basis will the IDPL or MDI hostel allotted?
Ans: Random Probability

2. If i want to shift from PGPIM to PGPM then?
Ans: You pay the next installment+ the difference + Rs. 1000 as adjustment charges(Withdrawl)

3. When will the next list be out?
Ans: Next evening after 22nd.

4. Can i choose the foreign campus?
Ans: No, MDI will do it. I thought it should have been on a person's choice

5. Now, i was given a provisional receipt. So, why is there a provisional receipt?
Ans: Well, no idea.
My Guess: As they are always giving buffer calls, now if in the 2nd WL of 40 ppl if all join then they won't be able to accomodate everyone, so they might refund the fees & say Tata.(Entirely my thinking can b wrong.)


So, the picture looks bright for people who initially had WL-100. They, i guess can definitely expect confirmed calls.
