Just recieved the below call letter about 10 mins back :-

SUB : Admission toPost Graduate Diploma in Management
(PGDM) Batch 2008 – 2010 Somaiya Form no. 103463

Congratulations! We are pleased to offer you admission to the above course in our Institute.

You will be glad to know that the PGDM course of the Institute is accredited for 5 years by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA - a body of AICTE), an honour shared with only a handful of other B-Schools in India. This, along with our A+ rating and ranking amongst top 20 B-schools in India augurs well for the students of the Institute.

You are advised to arrange to pay the following latest by 5.00 p.m. on 26th April 2008, failing which your admission will be cancelled and the seat offered to the next candidate on the waiting list.

·Programme fee of Rs.1,10,000/- (subject to confirmation by the relevant regulatory authority, if any) by a Demand Draft in favour of “SIMSR” payable at Mumbai

·Hostel fee of Rs 60,250/- by a Demand Draft in favour of “SIMSR Hostel” payable at Mumbai

Please go through the ‘Instructions for Selected Candidates’, enclosed as Annexure I with this email letter.

Kindly note that the admission is provisional, and is subject to verification of your mark sheets in various examinations and certificate(s) of work experience, as prescribed in the admission brochure.

I checked the website.. they havent put it up as of now.. maybe will do that in sometime.. Just check ur emails, they might be sending the call letters first..

Hey All,

questions and queries coming up:

1) Are they sending letters only to those who have got through? or else everybody gets email stating the status.....

2) If you don't receive an e-mail, does this imply that you are out of the race....

Also now if you call somaiya office, its says that there is some problem in the phone line, hence could not be connected....

Seats available due to non- acceptance of our offer by the provisionally selected candidates will be offered to the waitlisted candidates in the order of merit among those present.

Instructions for the Wait Listed Candidates

1. <LI style="LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; TEXT-ALIGN: justify">The displayed list of waitlisted candidates is in the descending order of Merit. <LI style="LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; TEXT-ALIGN: justify">Waitlisted candidate wishing to take admission must be present at the Seminar Hall (First Floor) of the Institute premises on 28th April, 2008 at 03.00 p.m. If a Candidate is unable to come, he/she may send his/her representative with an authority letter signed by him/her.
2. Candidates / authorized representative are required to bring with them

·Fee for the first year i.e. Rs. 1,10,000/- (One Lac Ten Thousand Only) by demand draft drawn in favor of “SIMSR” payable at Mumbai.
·Hostel fee @ Rs.60,250/-* (Includes Hostel fee for 10 months - Rs 50,000/-; Caution Money Rs 10,000/- and registration fee Rs 250/- ) by demand draft in favour of “SIMSR HOSTEL” payable at Mumbai.

1. <LI style="LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; TEXT-ALIGN: justify">Depending upon the availability of seats, the waitlisted candidates, who are present, either personally or through their authorized representative, will be offered provisional admission as per the descending order of merit. <LI style="LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; TEXT-ALIGN: justify">In case a candidate or his/her authorized representative does not report at the appointed time and date along with the demand draft, as required at Sr.No.3, the seat will be offered to the next candidate on the Wait List and the concerned candidate will lose his/her claim to the seat in the institute on the basis of the Wait List.

I got selected for PGDM-IB, and am waitlisted for PGDM. rank is not given...though they have stated that the list on the site will have the ranks as well.
