Alright....Just to keep the thread going along...
We had a mini TAPMI meet at pune yesterday...
I suspect the forum on orkut is more active but still in case we do decide to have a meet @ Pune... we would want as many ppl to interact and plan things together before landing at manipal....and hence an update here

The mini meet happened at CCD FC Road and i had a chance to meet three of my future classmates...Priyank, Rohan and Bharat.
Lots of Q's, bit of coffee and apprehension/excitement about joinin a bschool...
Priyank had a wonderful idea of coordinating travel plans together for puys in pune...so in case anyone is interested...the tentative plan is to leave for manipal on the 3rd from pune/bbay depending on the availability of tickets...

if the response here is good, we'll see if we can have a combined pune/bbay meet to plan out things properly...

Happy waiting....

- Is there any option to learn a foreign language as part of the course?
- Have ya all posted the second DD?
- I'm wondering if I should carry my badminton racquet along when i come...Do I have company here?

I've heard that its the 1st year thats really taxing... Could seniors please tell me which themes will eat into our sleep time? Which time of the year does the course get the most arduous?

Actually, all other threads related to b-schools are active mainly cuz of waitlist movement. Since that issue is closed here, there's absolutely no one posting.

Regarding the second instalment that we're supposed to send:
Its a DD for Rs. 206000, drawn in favour of "T A Pai Management Institute", payable at Manipal (Udupi).

Someone please confirm.

Just want to confirm about tuition fees: It was mentioned that total tuition fees would be 6,46,000. I had assumed this already includes deposit amout of 13,000 and 10,000 for textbooks.

But i think they have mentioned in the annexure: "to purchase text books students will have to pay 10,000 per year". So how does the total amount is 6,46,000 in that case it should be 6,56,000.

Yes. That is correct.
When i spoke to the admissions office yesterday, they said that they will provide the receipt if we request for it via mail. Else they will be giving us the receipt only on the day of joining (July 5th)

Anyone has requested for the receipt for the full 1st installment payment?

As far as I know, the tuition fees is Rs. 6,23,000 + 13000 (deposit) + 10000 (books) = Rs. 6,46,000/-.
