i just spoke to the sales person...below are the details he gave me

the offer closes by 13th of this month
min of 3 ppl required for the bulk order to be eligible for the VAT off
inspiron 1525 would cost 36300 with the carry case (u can reduce 900rs if u dont want a carry case)
payment can be through DD/credit card/electronic payment


so we need to act fast

1000 more for accidental coverage and 500 more for a back pack

so it would be 36.3+1+.5= 37.8K

i am sorry to say that the figures u r telling are incorrect.

The quotation posted by me covers these two things + ur quotation..

hence the price comes out to be Rs. 39,126 ( see quoation Dell_Inspiron_1525_basic posted by me)

@varun: If u wanna know the quotation of inspiron 1420 with same config., have a look at
Dell_Inspiron_1420 posted by me.

The only thing is that DELL 1420 comes with 250 GB hard disk and not 160 GB.

I will have to ask them if they can provide 160 GB hard disk with 1420 which i really doubt if they can..

and yes the offer is valid till 13th june, so we wil have to make it fast..

Sachin, Thiru is talking abt his own quotations and not urs....his figures are hence correct...!!

I am currently analyzing Sachin, Thiru and my Vashi dealer's quote...shall post an update soon...we shall finalize things by end of tomorrow..!!

hold on mate...

i know thiru is talking abt his own quotation..

whereas i m talking abt the quotation with quintessential requirements.

To tell u the correct figures
1. backpack costs Rs.1450
2. accidental cover Rs.1000
3. integrated sound blaster not required actually hence u can subtract Rs. 450 from the price.

I hope we have almost come to conclusion abt the laptop.

mostly we wil finalize it by tomorrow.

The offer is running out of hand...make it fast my friends...

it seems we have a few quotations to choose from now.Mostly looks like we gonna go in for the 1525. I personally liked the deals from thiru and sachin.Waiting for a detailed config and price from varuns agent in vashi. then we can all decide the best deal and go for it. 13th is still some time away so no real need to hurry so much.We can take a day or two to finalise the config and dealer and get a consensus..

I have asked my dealer to improve his offer...

After studying all the quotes, I feel the below mentioned would be the best..!!

Advantages :

1525
2.0 GHz processor
3 GB RAM

The ones mentioned both by Thiru and Sachin are 1.83 GHz processors which are the old 1525 models..check the website...so if anyone has any issues with this selection, please let us know..!!
