the real requirement is, the bank from which u take the DD should have a branch at Tiruchirappalli(Trichy). Otherwise the SBI Trichy, will have to send the DD upcountry to the nearest branch of ur bank to encash it, for which commission will be deducted. So just ensure, that the bank u take the DD from has a branch in Trichy. thats it!

Hmmm, True!! We shud keep that in mind, while getting the DD!!!

Yes, the signed code of conduct needs to be sent back I guess with the DD..!!!

The signed code of conduct can also be sent along with the confirmation letter which is to be sent on or before may 12th....

1.Yes u need to get a TC(most colleges provide a TC when u leave,so do check ur old certificates properly)
2.Yes you need to sign the code of conduct and send it along(dont get frightened reading the rules-its just a formality :tongue
3.Dont get confused choosing a laptop(every brand has its equal share of positives and negatives). Just keep this in mind. Expenses on a laptop post warranty period is always expensive.Also keep in mind Moore's Law.Your new laptop is out of date at the end of 2 yrs and would be termed antique.It has to be either discarded or wrapped up nicely to be gifted to ur neice or nephew.End of 2 yrs we wud always eye for the latest Vaio or Macbook.
Moreover no point getting a laptop on a loan-coz u end up paying more for something that depreciates @ 50% a year.
So get a laptop that is cheap and gives u a couple of years warranty. If u r adamant to have ur laptop for eternity then its advised u go for a higher end model.

In the letter which is received by the wait listers, it is mentioned that wait list movement happens from June 15th onwards. Since already selected candidates have to confirm their admission on or before may 19th, is there any possibility that the wait list movement is known earlier ?

Hey puys,

Called up the admission office in the morning....guess the sweet lady there has been troubled by lots of us folks..!!

Anyways, got most of queries clarified...one code of conduct can sent either with the letter b4 11th May or with the DD b4 19th May..!!

Another, the transfer certificate is same as the college leaving certificate issued by the last college studied in....and thankfully our certificate mentions conduct too in it ( Conduct : Good ), so no need of any extra certificates.!!

Guess now we can focus on planning the Chennai meet @Elliots Beach..!

I have an insider info. Faculty recruitment is taking place on May 18th in the same venue as our interviews in Chennai(IMAGE) where almost all the staff and a few students will be available. Lets take this opportunity and get a first hand ice-breaking that day
Hope ours is the best team(pre-college session) in 2008-2010. Lets keep it up!

Well, May would be difficult for us guys frm Mumbai n Delhi etc...as we wont get any train tickets at such a short notice..!! We were more like thinking abt June...by then even the WL guys would have a clear idea...guest last weekend of May or 1st weekend of June would be ideal..!!
