Hmm...yeah the joining date shud be mentioned....1st monday of July..is 6th july...so maybe joining date shud be 4th July I guess..!!

Yeah, sure..I shall have a chat with kitchu too as he was asking some dealers on laptops...I have opened a thread in BIM25 orkut community also...request Pradeep to join that if not already..!!

Folks,

Have we zeroed in on any laptop as such..... @ varun -> cudn access the orkut discussion over the weekend.... Is it possible for us to have the discussion here itself (access is restricted in office for orkut) ....

Also, I already have a Toshiba laptop (A135 - s4727) with me.... dunno what to do with it... its got a battery backup of arnd 2 hrs... not sure whether it will be enough....

Any suggestions on what wud be a decent battery backup time for laptop needed for a b-school....

1. Offer by mkamalr- Dell Lattitude @ ~38 k
2. Offer by Sony007- Dell Inspiron 1420 @ ~38.25 k
3. Offer by Ashirvadeb- Not an offer as such but wud help to crack a deal on xps 1330 or 1530


I hope u all can relate to the names now n then come up with the best offer n post it here so that we all can decide collectively.
We need to be quick I guess. We can even seek help from Kitchu n team as they are striving hard to get a better bulk deal for all of us. So, any suggestion frm Seniors or anyone for that matter are welcome.

1) I guess, for folks from places other Mumbai, The 1st deal (mkamalr) might not be useful, since delivery is not available for that offer.

2) The offer by Sony 007 seems to be good , it has a delivery option as well.... Will try to find some info on the performance of that machine... Others can also contribute to this.......
