hi folks... nice to see TSM find a place at PG. wel what i can tell you is that it is one of its kind. a course tailor made for marketing with focus on media industry. its biggest strength is its excellenct faculty base alot of them come from FMS... others come from the industry.. the permanent faculty is very dedicated and experienced. do visit the website
www.indiatimes.tsm.com
only place where TSM looses out is that it is a one year course but that is quite sufficient for indepth understanding of the field. the placement although never guaranteed is never less than 100%, all students absorbed by Times of India... being the biggest media house in south asia its hunger for managers is huge....
while a majority of students enter media houses, ad agencies.. (media in general) a lot of them have stepped into all sorts of industries ranging from FMCG, Automobile, Telecom etc. and have been very very successful.
THE KIND OF VALUE ADDITION THIS INSTITUTE DOES IN PHENOMENAL !!
not many institutes these days..... not in the A category and yet providing "decent" placements to all its students.
HOWEVER: if you have those huge salaries in mind ... and wide acceptance in any industry then you might face problems coz ... while the institute enjoys immense respect in Media and related industries.. companies from other sectors prefer a 2 yr MBA from a A+ category institute to be taken in as Management Trainee.
well choice is yours...
all the best !
