I was expecting IMT-G confirm
should i pay the fees of imt-nagpur and expect the list to move up to imt-G
as I dont what to do MBA from Nagpur

They called guys from 88-95% for nagpur
and 95% above for Ghaziabad and nagpur both

whats going on

What should I do guys plz help anyone

I see you are from noida.. just as suggestion It would be good if you go to college itself and talk to them personally.. that would really clear some air

hey puys! i jus wanted to clear this thing again that surely imt hasnt put all below 96+ %ile holders in imt-n..because mine is 95.36 and m still waitlisted..moreover..for lal those who re still waitlisted..i think we also in limbo! coz some of us will get imt-g in d second waitlist due on 30th..but imt might have definitely put some extra ppl also now in d waitlist so that even if some ppl who get imt-g in the second waitlist drop out..they still have back-ups!!! so thjeir are 3 possibilities for us that may occur on 30th april..1) we cn get selected 2) we cn be again in the waitlist 3) we cn be rejected!!

Puys, I just want to put my views.
let me tell you that i got 95.5 %ile and got only one call from IMT G/N and am waitlisted when result was declared on 29th march. In the first result, I guess they have pulled many many students into waitinglist. Until yest, everyone of us have been refreshing the site as many times as possible. today the results are out and for those very few who have <96%ile and still waitlisted, its extension of their patience till 30th.
Those who have >96%ile are also the same.
But for ppl like me in btwn 95 to 96 %ile and have been offered IMT N, its the outburst of frustration that resulted because of the effort we had put in till now expecting IMT G to be in the admission offer. I myself have posted 3 to 4 posts in earlier pages in afternoon. Now, i calmed down.
The process of IMT is not as bad as few said(it includes me also). Only thing that was not fair from their side was offering seat in IMT N even for those who havent fillled these options in the 2 preference forms( includes me). The result came as a real surprise. For those who have filled IMT N in the preference forms, i guess their rank would have been on lower side since many students who got very good cat %iles were waitlisted. When CAT %ile matters as much as 70%, i guess higher ranks were obviously filled by ppl who got high percentiles. So, it would have been impossible for IMT admin unit to manage so many students. As a result, we(95-96 junta) have all been pushed to IMT N. Whether we accept the offer or not is left to self. Those who have <96 %ile and still in waiting list might have exceptionally performed in GD/PI and other factors also.
I am posting this long text only to tell that IMT procedure was not so bad. The situation of ppl like us would have been much better had IMT increased cut-off to 96 %ile like last year or had they informed us during interview that we might not be offered admission in IMT G. It would have saved some money n energy. Let it go. If something has to happen, it has to happen.
ALL THE BEST TO THOSE WHO ARE STILL IN WAITING LIST.

P.S: All these are my personal views. I am extremely sorry if it hurts anyone.

I have one very very important question. Based on what they have displayed on results page, I guess we wont be considered for upgradation. But, I have read in orkut community that if we pay fee in IMT N, we will be considered for upgradation. Is this true? Please enlighten on this.
Also my sincere request to those who might be going to IMT G office tomorrow. Kindly ask them whether those who have been offered IMT N are considered for upgradation or not if we pay fee.
as mentioned in last post, i lost my temper and forgot to call IMT G office to enquire abt the same. Tom,being saturday, i doubt they attend our calls.

I asked the dean of IMTG Dr Sardana about the upgradation after my gd/pi was over. He clearly told me that there will be no upgradation from Nagpur to Ghaziabad.
I can only suggest u ask someone from IMT for final confirmation as IMT seems to be changing it's policies without informing anyone

its simple
list the students in decreasing order of % and give calls - this is mdi for u

and imt its very hazy
i dont know what are they upto

probably what vmohan has said its true mine is 95.96% so nagpur

i think u people should not doubt any college's selection procedure..
see every college has its own procedure and they know what they look for candidates..

der are some ppl wid WL between 95 to 96 , still waitlisted in G and no offer frm IMT N ..

Me and my frnd had same CAT score ( to second decimal ) still he cleared MDI and i am WL ( poor 109 ) ..and i knew why cos i had a bad GD and not so good interview ..

i agree there is some luck factor in interview..
on any other day or in front of any other panel , u would have different marks..
but interviews are always like this !!

So instead of pin-pointing anyone , people should introspect themselves .! ! !

I completely agree with u and also I am of the view that each Private Institute has the right to exercise its own admission procedure....but something called TRANSPARENCY exists in everything.....now give me a reason why most of junta having 95-96 percentiles, who were initially shortlisted for both IMT-G and IMT-N are being offered only IMT-N now...surely all the people can't have their gd/pi's bad..for example u can see CLICKHERE_1MORE's interview and u can easily come to a conclusion dat he had one of the best interviews...but the result..first a waitlist and then a seat offered at IMT-N.......now I am just quoting an example...if they knew dat they wouldn't select people having percentiles less dan 96 they shouldn't haven't shortlisted those people..!
