A batch size of 400+ is way too high yaar....... Do they take into account all the factors before deciding on such things!!!
As far as AICTE approval is concerned it won't be a problem for IMT.....with a Cabinet Minster in the Board that will be a cake walk............
Anyways hope that it doesn't happen as it might hit placements.........

Its sounds so funny when people call 400+ seats "way too high" when they seem more than eager with the college already having 360 seats.

And talking about impact of number of seats on placements, with an institute like IMT having more than 50 comapnies visiting its campus, the figures would be something like 7 students per company. Now that number increasing to 8 and people making hue and cry about it again sounds childish(to put it mildly).

People... you all have raised ur level to enter IMT amongst some 2.5l candidates. Back urself that u'll be able continue that in next 2 years and stand somewhere among top 30 atleast in ur batch. Than placements shouldnt be a concern,right???

Hi Puys, i dont think calls have been sent out acc to 120 fin seats, as it is yet to be approved and will have to go to AICTE for approval , so as of now calls must have gone out for 360 seats.

I have got admission to IMT Ghaziabad (Finance) as well as XIM - Bhubaneswar. I am confused which one to choose. Can someone help me?

Please throw light on various aspects like placements, faculty, ranking, alumni base etc.

Moi - Sir whats gonna be SC verdict effect on IMT list
Admin - Its final and independent of decision..we have not planned any change and there are no chances also now.

Moi - Refund ka kya scene hai
Admin- we have meeting on 16th for this.
Moi - But AICTE says 1000 will be deducted
Admin - we know this..but wait for our meeting

Moi - will fees remain same?
Admin - yes so far no plan to change it.But may be...


he said we will get letter in mid may for our joining date.Expected joining date is in3rd week of june.

I hope most of ppls query is answered.

PPl in admin office are really nice to talk and helpful.

Direct comparisons as such as are not allowed here..

Look around the forum.. use the search function to find respective college's threads...
Check out there respective websites to know about placements, faculty, alumni base etc..

as for ranking... you'll find a dozens of them on the web if you look.. some quite dubious...
also check out the PaGalGuy Ranking... perception based rankings mind you... but better than most of the ones that are out there..

finally it all comes down to your own preferences.. both are extremely good colleges.. i would have been confused myself had i had the option...
