Hello Friends,
I have got IB at IMT on 15th May list. I came to know about it today only when i saw the letter and was totally surprised(I had left the hope). But now more confusion starts. my situation is as:
I am having 3 yr of IT industry experiance in a big MNC and i just came to Germany this month only for a löong term onsite. a good role. Now I have to chosse the better between two good things. So want to know abt IB.
How is IB at IMT in Finance specialization. With what quality it is tought over there?
How is placement for IB(it shouldn't be that behind finance figures, IB have really bad figures for its own). How many non-IT companies do take IB.
and finally feel the heat, let me put the ball in ur court, what would u do in my situation?

responces will be highly appriciated. Plz help me to decide.

yes it is.. as a matter of fact Long ago i submitted my fees on Saturday only

what are the minor specialisations offered in 2nd yr in ib?

Marketing, Finance, Operations, IT or HR. So, basically you have all the options

How r d placements n summers organised for ib? is it combined with other branches? also, what were the placement figures of ib batch passing out this yr?

Placements and summers for all streams are organized together. So you wont have any special arrangements made for any one particular stream. Talking specifically about IB, you would be sitting along with the Fin or the FT batch for the placement and yes, you would be treated at par with them. I guess the exact figures are mentioned on the website and if they are not then its because we are going to sit with the FT or the Fin batch so our placement figures would be clubbed with them. Still, I believe someone from the placecom would be able to give you a better idea if there is anybody around here.

what are the chances for upgradation from ib to ft?

All depends on you rank. Last year there were students who were upgraded from IB to FT and then there were a lot many amongst us who left FT to take up IB because they wanted to major in Fin. And also there are many who are now happy for not being upgraded because now after one year and with better understanding they have changed their plans and want to major in Finance.

need a lil favour.....can SENIORS help me out....i hv been selectd at IMT-G for d HR course.....n at IMI for dere flagship course i.e. PGDBM.....nw me in a fix.....wot to go for...im not hearin anythng positive regardin HR frm IMT-G....n dey hav also decreasd d seats of HR frm 60 to 30.....imt-g is a name to reckon wid....n imi is cumin up....so shud i go fr d coll name or d course.....me a fresher....did my b.tech frm delhi
