I have just called IMT and they have confirmed that they have received my DD on time. I asked about the receipt the person told that I shall get it later during joining but he gave me the receipt number.

If you want to confirm your DD and receipt status then you can call at 01203002205. On contrary to all discussion the person was polite and answered everything with care.

Hi,
I just called up IMT regarding the receipt of dds, on phone they are telling the receipt No and they are sending the receipts to those persons only who need it for loan and if you want any of your friends or relative to collect the receipt for you, then you need to give authority letter otherwise you'll get the receipt at the time of joining...

Although i don't want to start a fresh debate on the Specialisation issue in PGDM (FT) but i thought this could be useful for people who want to move from one to the other. I spoke to Dr. A.M. Sherry just now. He is the head of the admission committee. He told me and i quote "there is nothing called MAJOR and MINOR in this course. All students have to study all subjects including finance. There is greater flexibility as compared to another course. In terms of placements a student can sit for all the companies including finanace. " According to him this was a more renowned course in imt as compared to other courses.

So this means that PGDM(FT) is a general MBA course, such as the ones offered by the IIMs and not just Marketing/Operations..... That's real good news for people like me And no doubt that this is more renowned than the others, it's the flagship course of IMT, one which has been there since their inception

I had my GD/PI in ghaziabad itself. there the students who were giving orientation told us specifically FT is for mktg n ops.

I think it is better to go by what the current students say rather than what the Admissions representative says.... As the students have nothing to lose whether we join or not... Isn't it?

But why would the chairman of the Admission committee say such a thing? its confusing....
