Well i have already got the acknowledgment from IMT-G 2 days back ....a printed receipt showing the break-up of the 1,17,500 they have taken till now .. but thr are 2 factors here
1. I personally went to deposit the draft
2. I put up in delhi ...so its very near to ghaziabad ...
Thts why i got the acknowledgment from IMT so fast

Also 1 more piece of info tht might help ...i had mailed the admissions dept to ask when will the new session strt ....and their reply was
" Session will start probably from 21 June 2008."

This is just to inform that the Placement link of imt website is not working.
Its giving error ADODB.Field error '80020009' .

Hi just called up IMT -G I wanted to ask for my receipt for payment. The respondent asked my name and gave me my receipt number. He said you will get the receipt once you report here. He further said that receipt is only being handed over to people who have personally deposited the fees and the others will get it once they report. Hope this helps.

No dude, I had sent it thru courier however on requesting over the phn I have received the acknowledgement (please see my post in the prev page)

21st June is Saturday.. I just hope IMT doesnt start the new session on that day ..

But you can also click on PGDM link or PGDM Ex link and proceed from there .. and you can see all the details of placements.. there are tabs on the upper part of screen .check them out. Although i hope they correct the problem , but we can have the info anyway .. hope it helps.

In fact I "HOPE" they start it on saturday.. so the seniors and maybe even faculty has time for us.. and then from monday , we can hit the ground running !

About initial days at IMT

Assuming 21st June is the joining date.
You will have to register at IMT.
You will be allotted a room by SAC.
There will be arrangements for you to buy mattresses, coolers, etc.
Some mobile service provider kiosk will be setup for mobile connections. (We had IDEA.)

The orientation will start from 22nd June, Sunday.
You will have orientation for 6days. During orientation, you will be informed about various practices at IMT. About each department - Marketing, Finance, HRM, IT, Library, Accounts, etc. The sessions are from 8am till evening around 7pm.
Various clubs and committees will give their presentations, mostly at nights.
We have many clubs (MarkUp, Finniche, etc.) and committees (Placement Committee, Alumni Relationship Committee, etc.)
The normal orientation day ends at around 1-2am.
You will also have YOGA sessions. Thats from 6am to 7am.
For a day you will have out bound sessions as well. It has team games, etc. Non-arguably the best part of orientation week !!

Normal classes will commence after orientation week is over.

We had been given 25-26th June as two days for registration. And orientation started on 27th. I think its better if you land here as early as possible i.e 21st June (if that is the actual date of registration.)
You will need 1-2days to settle down. Especially for non-NCR people.
NO NEED TO COME BEFORE 21st

(This is all dependent on what happened last year during our registration. Changes might have been made by management.)
