There have been several discussions on what is going behind.
I believe this is what happened in IMT results.
People are ranked based on their overall-scores(CAT, GD, PI, Work-ex and overall profile)
The top notch in the list have got their seats in IMT-G(in the order of their preference)
The people who were below a particular rank(say 1000) are sure to not make to G have been offered IMT-N.
Those who got into IMT-N may not be considered for G(contrdicting previous years offer)
Those who have been called only for IMT-N will then be called upon if the seats are not filled in N.
IMT-G may offer seats if there is a lot of move over to IIMs and other institutes after further results.

IIM results goin 2 b declared before 30th Apr. Anybody having idea exactly when..plzzzzz tell... :gunsmilie:

hi puys, pls throw some light on this matter.
as some people are still in waitlist in both g/n campus so they are definately in higher merit then those who converted imt nagpur. i hope everyone agreed upon this.

Now my doubt is if a person who is still in waiting in both campus, can i safely assume that even he not convert ghaziabad then also he must select for nagpur campus bcoz i earlier mention dat people with lower rank given nagpur then why some 1 with higher rank not eligible for nagpur.

so can i guess that if someone is still in wait for both campus then atleast he is safe for nagpur campus.puys pls correct me if i am wrong at any stage.

senior pls throw some light on this. bcoz i have only hope of imt and simultaneously i applied for some lower rank b-school and i am selected over there but problem is i want to pay 90,000/- bucks and that also not refundable.

i think many other puys are still in such type of dilemma.

pls discuss regarding this.

problem is dear friend that all the above as you mentioned are just assumptions. one cannot justify or accept them until clarification from the institute is provided. Hoever, one thing can be quite sure, people with just IMT-N converts will not make it to IMG-G.

i agrred with u but my quesstion is if someone with lower rank got converted in nagpur then why people with higher rank suffer that they even cant eligible for nagpur due to their higher rank.

no need to worry
wat earlier imt has done
they have shorlisted all the people above 95 instead of 96
then they have waitlisted the majority or even all the students
then alloted the seats to all the students with the top ranks
after that they came out with their first waitlist in which they gave nagpur seats to students btwn 95 & 96(they can be given nag seats in the merit lists also,bt wy they were not provided?) , Thats purely on the basis of percentiles only
nw in the second waitlist they will give the ghaz seats to the upper ranks and nag seats to the lower ones
MORAL - all this is done for upgrading the merit of nagpur campus , whoever will not be able to get seat in the ghaz campus will be alloted seat in the nagp campus

i think all this is quite obvious frm the institute pnt of view

IIM results will be out in early may. I have seen an article on this in today's economic times paper. Please go through it. I think it is in 4th or 5th page. Hope this helps those who are still in race for IMT g/n.

I feel that IIM results wud be out somewhere around 2nd week of May.:new_scatter:
Some of my friends have got mail from IIM-A asking them to support their candidature for Non-creamy layer OBC category with sufficient documents within 2 weeks. and this mail was sent yday(23-Apr-200 evening. So with two weeks, the time ends on 7-May. So hope IIM results would be delayed.

IMT-G will still come out with a small list on 30-May and we'll have another waitlist.(Hope this doesn't happen):bigear:
