no work ex plus a masters... added advan or not?

hey guys i have a masters in economics and no work ex. giving my cat and jmet in 2008. prob is im not really keen on the statistics and core econometircs that we have to delve in everyday for the past two yrs.....so will i be slightly disadvantaged at the PI or what?

Me too have the same profile, albeit in a different subject(physics).

From my experiences u will have to face atleast 2 qs :

1. If u were interested in MBA, then why dint u do it just after grad ??

and/or

2. If u have gone this far, or is so very interested in ur subject, why not do a Ph.D/higher studies. ?


atleast these were the queries I faced in some of the b-school interviews.
adv or not depends on the b-school ,type of prof at itrvw n a host of other factors, no blanket ans. to this.

Well, this wont be demerit for you, if you know how guide PI in the direction you want, on the contrary since your profile is very different, I m sure you have a good chance of convert if you get scores in the written.

As of now concentrate on the tough part i.e. written and think about all this once you clear and get the calls.
