CAT 2008 Study Group : Hyderabad Nizams

Hello Friends,

Like most of city groups I decided to have a seperate thread for Hyderabad CAT-2008 aspirants for mainly following reasons and objectives:

1. We can share our study resources. Like previous papers, materials, books, etc.
2. Can prepare for the GD/PI on common hangouts as decided by thread members.
3. Can solve each other problems either through direct or post communication.

I just want to start this thread with these intentions. Please in replies, if it happens to be your first one on this thread introduce yourself and place you live along with what kind of materials you are looking for, and what kind of materials you already have and are ready to share....

Hope to soon have more fellow Hyderabadi Nizams here....

i am surprised to see no reply in such a long time!

as for as my intro goes...

I am Keerthi Kiran, working with deloitte in its strategy consulting practice. Did my graduation from IIT Bombay with majors in civil engg. 2006 batch. gave cat in my final year...got a not so good percentail (in my defense i wasnt serious at all )

looking forward to seeing more replies here. hopefully we will be able to help each other in some way.

Pleasant surprise to see this thread ... Very rare to see a hyderabad thread in PG

Arvind here, engg passout(cse) and currently working at an IT mnc...

Gave Cat 07 with not too much success(95%ile) seriously underperformed although had good performances elsewhere with NMIMS,SIBM pune converts and FMS wl 38...

Anyway its CAT 08 for me and this time im gonna kill it

Hi folks,
This is sricharan, B.tech 2007 passout, working for ADP MNC in hyderabad. Nice to see a link for hyderabadis. We should make this link an active thread. Guys come out with some ideas so that we can discuss some tips for preparing effectively for CAT. I gave CAT'06 got 85 percentile. seriously ditched by English... Hoping somebody to help me out in preparing for English..:help smilie:

Gr8 to see u all drumming up some support (4 membership of dis thread).

I hav done my B.Tech from NIT nagpur .....
Gave CAT-07 .... miserable performance inspite of some gud performance in Mocks...
Currently wrking in an IT company...

Wld like to form a study group so that we can hav some kinda discussions after mocks..
I hav been advised by some of my (CAT cracker)friends to form a study group as they are of d opinion tat discussing probs help 2 add new dimensions 2 ur thought process...

Hi Invincible,

you are correct dude.. I was also of same opinion of starting some study group so that we can we can make CAT a cakewalk. we can discuss some of the typical problems which are not familiar. common guys & gals do reply...

hii guyss.

this is vishu..working for an MNC in hyd....since 1 and half years.. and

I am going to take CAT for the first time this year ...2008... and waana to join in a coaching center..

i am in a big dialoma ..tht....where suld i join..?

I have 2 options in my hand ..one is TIME at Ameerpet branch

and second is CareerLancher at begumpet..(green park opposite)

wht would you suggest.. ? which one is better among..?

I think most of you have been undergone coaching and took the CAT at least for one time..

SO plss..help me out in this regard...

AS i am very new to this CAT exam and preparation...plss guide..me...

and can i directly attend the simcats...conducted by various institutes?

bocz..i dont hav touch with the Quant and verbal.....since long time..

My advice is tat u shld join time...
Faculty of time is impeccable...
U shldnt take 2 tests as of now as tat cld burn u up a lot.....

I am Prateek, working with infosys from last two years.I appeared for CAT last year too but this time I want to be a bit serious. I have already TIME mehndipattanam.
