Well, its a dream come true, to be a MICAN. I still cant believe it!! am still in a state of shock. Had a wonderful Holi celebration. And am really looking forward to meeting all you people at MICA.

So till 12th May,lets celebrate.... and after 12th may.. lets celebrate even more!!

Belong to Chandigarh (past 5 yrs). Dad got transferred a lot, so have been to loads of places ( even ahmedabad! )

Schooling: changed 8 schools, 10th frm KV ahmedabad, 12th frm Chandigarh.

Hobbies: Reading,motor-Biking,swimming,playin guitar.

PS: can anyone give me the fees breakdown at MICA?

Details of fee, as approved by State Fee Committee, for the Institution.

Admission fee - 1,300/-

Tuition fee - 2,00,000/-

Hostel fee - 70,000/-

Alumni fee - 5,000/-

ime schedule for payment of fee for the entire programme.

Three equal installments at the beginning of each term i.e.:

July-September

October- December

January-March

I'm guessing more will be added.
As in library, food, books etc.
But that we'll figure out once we get the entire details.

Meanwhile Chuck, Kits4u or anyone else can give their breakup of fees shall be helpful. Need to let our parents know how much of their hard earned money we spending

I know there's a separate thread for 1 yr PGPCMX.
But just posting here so that the Puys who made it to the 2 yrs course at MICA know that I will be there too..........albeit as an 'executive student' .

acha the current batch is paying approx -

4 lac fees
4 lac other expenses (stay, food, internet wagera wagrea)
1.5 lac exchange programme (optional)
50 K Laptop

We can expect a 10% increase in fees and all.
So should total up to 11 lac.

For those who have apprehensions about the fees, just a few clarifications / points...

The fees at any private institute are 8 lakhs (4 for tuition, 4 for everythin else). Check out MDI which charges almost the same, and SPJain has mentioned that its programme cost is 4 lakhs, on its website (which is not the total cost - because acco, food etc will come to another 3-4)
8 lakhs is the fees + everything else... And upto 2 lakhs for the exchange programme, if you want to take it up (France or Singapore)
The institute will have a few tieups that will offer a bulk deal for notebook computers. It's not necessary to go for these. You could get your own notebook, get some other bulk deal... Pagalguy itself has some sexy offers at times... Our batch was offered Lenovo comps at 53k or something. I had a laptop of my own so I didn't take it up.
SBI, Bopal gives loans upto 10 lakhs at concessional rates to MICAns. Details to be fond here.
