Hi,

Its very difficult to say if waitlist would be cleared. The program is becoming more popular with each passing year. With a very good placement season just concluded for the Mangement Batch of 2008, the prospects are good for the aspirants. It becomes very tough for us to predict anything. Also the number is a small one (10 + 2).

Keep your fingers crossed. Hope for the best.

Regarding the fees:

Students of NITIE get education loan from all the banks for the whole amount of their fees which is one of the least in the B-School arena.

Usually people get a demand draft of the first installment of fees from their own pocket. (In my case i took it from my friends). After joining the institute, when loan is sanctioned, banks pay back the first installment amount to the students.

It would be better if there could be a poll for the same, having 3 options :

1.) Joining NITIE
2.) Not joining.
3.) Waiting for other results.

Guys n Gals,

Few words of caution regd. Wait list movements... The following factors are the most important ones:

1. All depends on the common calls obtained by people in the confirmed lists and their choice of B-Schools. NITIE-Mumbai has got excellent pull factors one of which is the kind of peer group that will be coming in
a) Only Engineers
b) That too only 1st Class Engineers
c) Very high Cut-Off, almost close to IIMs

2. Factor Mumbai, not much to say about it... All of us are smart people to digest it

3. Its unmatched supremacy in SCM and a path-breaking transition towards a leading B-School in Finance..!!

4. Two most unique courses ITM focusing on IT and ISEM focusing on Environment and Industrial Safety, in the B-School Arena, getting wide acceptance across industries and Students..!!

There will be wait list movements... no doubt... but to what extent... we should leave it for future... And as for the 2nd WL... it will be really difficult to comment since there are no hard facts available to any one of us till all the results are out... and the time for 1st WL gets over...!! In the past it has happened... it can happen this year also... but only time will tell...

I wish all of you all the best... Let's remain hopeful... May all of you get what you truly deserve...

Till today, I didn't know what 'Dream Come True' really meant.

After apprehensions about an interview which lasted 5 min, NITIE finally considered me for PGDIM-XV, Batch of 2010.
