I Need a favor 4m all those who got selected in PGDM OR PGDM-IB.
As there r almost 3mnths to go for da classes, so wat u guys r doin these dayz as i feel quite lorn these wid nt much wrk to do.

I asked some seniors about wat 1 can do b4 classes as a home-work or something, they all suggested me 1 thing to follow religiously n ie. "JUS CHILL-OUT".

I wanna knw shud i do some accounts or smthing lik dat b4 da course as m from engg backgrnd.
IF yes, then suggest me some topics or subjects or nething........
IF no, then do gimme some tips to make me busy or ve fun........

Hi puys. I got through PGDM IB in Bimtech. Even i am from engineering background and wanted to know if there is anything that we can study before hand so that we have some brief idea of the management subjects that we'll be studying there.

You can do basic accounting-journal,ledger,trial balance,final accounts,balance sheet reading.....
study some general management book-principles of management.....
economics......general view...
statistics very important in fact purchase a levin n rubin n start reading the book its goin 2 be very interesting.....
IB students brush on geography, currency, rupee appreciation, FDI, FII, WTO/GATT/GATS,
EU,China,USA business conditions n there economy.....

This is Namrata. Getting into PGDM. I am from kanpur, a science graduate and have worked as a journalist for over 29 months in kanpur and then in Mumbai. Nice to see this thread.

btw, any idea when the course would commence and other things like hostel allotment etc? it will be nice to know the background of other batch mates, esp from where they are coming, education and work-ex if any. Can please somebody tell me anything about the campus life there? LIke its located in a concrete jungle, yet people say it is interesting, is it?? (any seniors listening to us?)

thanks rs8 to think me eligible for the opp.ok frankly speaking,i am a perfect example of the fact that even if you are worst in acd you can make it to a good bschool.first about my group we were 7 people,including one lady (all of them except me was from kolkata only)all person were friendly and talkative.i am rembebring name of only one guy it was shussain .hey dude pls reply if you read it.gd topic was"woman should be allowed for night shift"disscussion was cool.i have begain the proceding and play role of cooordinater,without taking any opinian it give me advantage of raising a lot point.
all guys wereable to give some contribution.interview was based on sociel issues.questions like education scenerio in your city steps to remove poverty,about intrest,why bimtech were asked .mine interview was last on that day.so interviewer were a little tired. but they asked a lot question and my interview ended around 20 minutes.
