Had my PGPM, IM interview yesterday @IIMB, panel 1 for both, which doesn't mean the same set of professors. There is a single panel for IM/HR and these profs don't take PM interviews in the afternoon. However in the morning slot all 4 panel are reserved for PGPM interview, thats why all you IM/HR call getters are called in the afternoon slot.
PGPM experience
GD - "India is a rich country of poor people"

1. We were 11 in the group and guilty of speaking at the same time.
2. Points were brought about in terms of stats, forbes list, income disparity blah blah.
Chaotic and noisy, not new for me since PGHR GD was worse. I was like an experienced candidate.

P1 - Whats Information Science? [engg specialization]
Me - Try to explain.
P1 - Asks abt Database
Me - We speak abt access, hiding of data
P2 walks in
P2 - What do you do? whats software development, I am a layman.
Me - Thinking, sir isn't that my line?? Try to explain again.
P1 - Whats Information science, how different is it from Computer science
Me - Told something about elements of mgmt in Info Science, owing to ERP,MIS, SCM.
P2 - So you have learnt mgmt, why join MDI??
Me - Sir, I have heard of the abcs, now want to learn, read and pronounce them.
P2 - So tell me the abc of mgmt?
Me - Big wide smile.
P1 - Ok, forget that, what other calls??
me - told
P1 - Can I ask you stuff about Operating systems, networks in details?
me- Sir, I will try to answer them, big smile.
P2 - Tell me "why should we help the poor"?
me - Noble task, feel good from within..
P2 - Not convinced set of expressions, "don't try to be nice and right here"
me - Said some more things, he didn't look convinced at all.
P2 - Why do we use Binary form of computation in PCs?
me - Limits options, to T/F...asked him to choose a numbe from 1-10, said we can ask <5, >5, answer will be true/false. Spoke of representation of bits, truth tables.
P1 - There is flaw in binary, you aware of it?
me - Which one sir?
P1- Don't waste my time, do you know it?
me - Saar, I am not aware of any.
P2- You are a cottonian[school], I am a josephite? rivalry still exists?
me - Sir, yes sir. Its what makes our schools so grt.
P2 - What were the flaws in your lecturers in school?
me - None
P2 says to P1- Quite a Wily character
P2- Who is a famous josephite[school]
Me - Said a couple of our bangy boys, p2 hints to a cricketer of his time.

Done here, was a great experience, the professors are extremely nice people. It was a challenge. All the best guys.
