Hey guys,
Won't It be a good idea to club the experiences of PGPM, HR and IM under one thread, 'MDI GD/PI experiences 08-10'... few reasons why:
1: There are just a few IM students active on PG... so maintaining a separate thread might not be very useful.
2: It'll serve as single point reference to future aspirants. people apply to more than one program... so looking up 3 separate threads from the same yr will be a hassel for multiple call getters.
3: Interviews for IM and PGPM are nearly similar as ramswaroop and others have pointed out, so both might benefit from each other's experiences.
I hope you guys agree...
Request Rahul to do the needful.
Thanks
PS: the individual experiences can be labeled on top by the contributor as PGPM/PGPHR/PGPIM

Hi Guys,
Seems I am the first to post exp
Had at IIM B Panel-3 in morning..
My profile:
B Tech IT BHU 8.36 CG
CAT - 99.74
Working at SAP Labs. Prior to that at Infy..
GD - Topic was 'Should India Change its National Game'. (Same Topic in all panels)
2 min to think, 15 mis to discuss..
Total 10 ppl in the group.
Overall GD was ok, with some cross talks in between. My performance was average.. Everyone spoke..
Interview, was 4th to go in.. Will just brief about questions, 2 profs P1 and P2..
P1 - Ur percentile, other calls, what interviews over, how were they?
me- told..
P1- so which one will u choose between an IIM n MDI
me- gave politically correct answer,
P1- Still lets take hypothetical case that u have offer letter from iim n mdi
, which n why..
me - blah blah
p1- compare IIM n MDI
me - praised both..
P1- ur 12 th marks is low
me - told about bihar board..
P1 - asked about infy n SAP n work..
P1- Why MBA
me - told abt some erp consultancy stuff.. frm here onwards whole discussion was on sap, erp, marketing, consultancy n many other stuff..
P2- asked about flexible component n variable component of salary, do u get more than whats written on CTC?
P2- Why dint u tried for mba earlier
me - sir could not get enuf percentile in cat to get a call
P2- explained me MDI gives consultancy to Organization as SAIL, ONGC on SAP implementation, u might be knowing..
me - yes sir
P2 - what u think MDI will add in for u to become ERP Consultant..
(The qustion was framed in long sentences, i do not know if i understood properly )
me - talked about erp involving logistics, operations, fin, accounting, hr everything of an org.. me working in a particular domain do not hav overview n courses at MDI on all these buz process will help..
thats it n any qstns..
me - nuthng sir
Dont know, if they bought my why MBA theory or not.. however panel was cool n friendly, nothing like stress.. thankfully unlike my other intrvw exp, no acads
Best of luck to u all.. | | | | | The Following 62 Users Say Thank You to sanju_faith For This Useful Post: | abhay agarwal (09-03-2008), abhi6886 (09-03-2008), abhinavchugh (09-03-2008), alok_som (17-03-2008), amithar (09-03-2008), amittyagi (09-03-2008), arcade (10-03-2008), arvindc (09-03-2008), aseemsidhu (10-03-2008), aslipaagal (10-03-2008), ayushgupta11 (10-03-2008), BlUeStArR (24-04-2008), cat=chimera (09-03-2008), CAT_ACT (09-03-2008), chop suey (10-03-2008), comingback2life (09-03-2008), comradeche (15-03-2008), crow (11-03-2008), freakynut (09-03-2008), hsonik0810 (10-03-2008), iamleonidas (09-03-2008), jigargreat1 (10-03-2008), jimhawkins (11-03-2008), Jok3r (12-03-2008), karanmig (09-03-2008), Kumar Pratyush (09-03-2008), mandumk (09-03-2008), minkuvg (10-03-2008), morphi (09-03-2008), namitagupta (22-03-2008), naveensky (09-03-2008), neha.j (09-03-2008), nidhi_rawal (19-03-2008), nipun_jain (09-03-2008), pallavisud (11-03-2008), pankhuri.arora (09-03-2008), parag2007 (09-03-2008), parthmistry (10-03-2008), polpot (09-03-2008), prabhat.mits (09-03-2008), Priyo (09-03-2008), Rahul_Almighty (10-03-2008), rajibsam (10-03-2008), rjt163 (09-03-2008), sarvshwet (09-03-2008), scorpiosamir (09-03-2008), seshadri13 (09-03-2008), shaks06 (10-03-2008), sharqasm (10-03-2008), Shashank_nsit (09-03-2008), spiky (09-03-2008), SUPER XERO (27-12-2008), Surfacer (09-03-2008), swagatsinha (09-03-2008), The River Card (09-03-2008), the_wraith (09-03-2008), udaygupta (09-03-2008), Ujjwal.deep (31-03-2008), ulka.desai (09-03-2008), vaibhav007 (09-03-2008), vaibhav29oct (09-03-2008), vganesen (09-03-2008) | | | | |
