Murli is right here. people are here with the GMAT score similar to yours, but you never know when the bench mark would rise. the best bet would be to appear in GMAT again and then apply.

No you are not required to finalize on your majors and minors. You will have around 5-6 months to decide on this... first 4 terms we are going to have core courses and then one is required to decide on majors n minors...

I got admitted into PGPM2008 and was wndering if I could defer my admit for PGPM 09. I havent responded in this regard to the ad-com but was wondering if they would permit me to be admitted for 09. Whats your take on this?

You could have applied on the basis of your CAT/GMAT score. But you have to go through the admission process again. As admissions for 2009 are closed you can apply for 2010. The proces will start later this year.
