i am new to this forum. had got an lbsim call. was surprised that even after an average gd and good pi could not convert it with a percentile of 94. i am a bcom student. do you people know about any waiting list and if and when it will be declared.

i also appeared for gd/pi. and v were told sat they would release a list of 160 students(120+40 waiting) so i guess waiting list wud have been out. last date for fee submission is 22 so look out fornext list after dat. i think there would be next list coming

i have got the final selection letter from lbsim delhi . i request you to kindly let me know how is the institute . i am a non BE candidate . i also have interview calls from somaiya ,welingkars and bim trichy .
there are 120 seats at lbsim out of which 108 are from general category .

LBSIM's waiting list is already out. you can call them up and find out your waiting list number & that will give u an idea wat are ur chances of getting thru the final admission.
i was on their waiting list number 7 and i was told they have released only names upto 10 in the waiting unlike 40 which was told to us at the time of GD/PI.
thier contact numbers are - 011 - 26191081,26172407.
The institute is alright. cant be really sure bt the placements. sumone who had passed out from lbsim wasnt placed and had to find job himself but it wud be better if u go to the insitute personally and tok to the guys there to get the true picture. there can be exceptions.
as far as fee is concerned, its pretty nominal - 1.91 for 2 yrs
i feel kj somaiya, GIM are netime better than lbsim all in terms on infrastructure, placements et al.
so finally some non-BE guys making it through. oK heres the deal. I had talked to some of the students of LBSIM, and they said that the placements were satisfactory. They told me that everyone gets placed by the institute though it might take some time. Any ways there might be people whose performance is not that good in the two years who might not get placed. That happens in every institute. The final amount comes to around 2.61 lacs(including hostel and mess).
The one thing i noticed during the interview procedure was the persona of the students. It was not good. The way they carried themselves and spoke , left a lot to be desired. I am comparing them to the students of symbi(during the gd and pi process), but who knows this year might be different.
There is only one drawback to KJS- the batch stregth is close to 250 PGPMS+MMS+PGPIB, and one plus point-Dual specialization. i have very little idea about the placement scenario, but should be good.
GIM- No idea but i think the placements are a problem owing to the location though the faculty, i am told, is fantastic.

thanx for the insight . but the question remains the same . is it prudent to submit the fees at lbsim and then look for better avenues somewhere else or is it just not worth filling a fees as well . my cat percentile is just about 90. and i have dropped one yr . any info would be greatly appreciated
