- If you have followed the thread the MICAT was pretty much like previous years. So last year as well in their mail they'd written Indian ethos and culture and not asked anything. So they basically did not change the pattern from last year.

-Aree knowing that there are no questions on Indian culture two days before is hardly any advantage at all. Perosnally, don't feel that reading the experiences of 17th made me do better in the MICAT than I could have otherwise done. There was no information advatage really. Such compared to a CAT where you have NO freakin idea what is to come.

-Things like word assocation, psychometric, essay we knew were going to come. Now knowing this is no way helps prepare better.

-The topics of essay from what I see were a lot more intersting for the other centres vis-a-vis Mumbai

-Foucs on content - See finally the answers are going to be based on your content. This in my mind could simply not have imporved by the info available on PG / anywhere else. Not in 2 days anyway.

-The only slight advantge would be some mental setup of knowing, hey its gonna be like last years paper and time is going to be a big issue.

So all in all don't think we buggers got a better / worse deal than anyone else.

Hi Puys...I know it's already been discussed but to me, "All questions are compulsory" just goes on to say that there ain't any choice, especially among the Essay questions.Might Marking More Measure 'Marketing Might'?!!!My essays were more like IMs, and I could only start the precis... Thomas Kuhn delivered his first lecture, and the invigilator snatched my paper away!

missed out on the precis totally and left 1 incomplete in the last section.
did'nt find anyone yet who completed the whole paper.just got tempted by the di/qa section and spent more time in it than necessary...

I am also planning on writing the micat.could you please help me out by telling me what are the sections in the paper.is it similar to the management entrances papers,like cat,xat,mat..??also any cut off and negative marking??if there is any major difference,please do let me know..

puys, please refrain from posting such assumptions like negative marking, all questions in the paper should be done else disqualified etc etc... its really easy to post what you feel about what's going to happen without any factual basis infact u might even mention you're not sure and stuff, but it can also make someone else miserable(like me!)...
