The MICAT was fine, was easy yet difficult in the sense the paper was lenghty. Was unable to finish everything, at the end jus fluked whtever I coudnt answer.

But seriously what is the idea of such a paper cause todays essays didnt even have anything mcuh where one could use their creativity.

There were topics like

Euthanasia should be legalized by law. Take a stand.

The Moon. Capture its essence.

Bollywood reflects reality of the changes in the Indian society

Design programmes and polices to protect the girl child and change the attitude of people towards the malice.

(the topics were not exactly framed lik this)

When you really want something to happen, the whole universe conspires so that your wish comes true...

Were the sections the same as in the MICAT that was held on 17th Feb?

too many mica threads - 19-02-2008, 06:52 PM

Hi guys,
Have been keep a track of mica threads. But think there are too many threads floating around.
The active ones are -
1. Prof Deval's
2. MICAT 2008 Call getters
3. MICA Gyan, Resources and FAQs
4. MICAT 2008 - 17th dec

Suggest that we use only two threads to maintain sanity, and so that ppl have one thread to look for. Alternatively, Keep Prof. Devals thread and start new generic thread for other stuff.

Mods, pls note.

Thanks,
Chinmaya

Hi,what concerned me was the "all questions compulsary" part...
i guess it intended to test on the spot creativity to the max...this was evident from the last section.Did anyone finish it all???

I think not... because if anyone did manage to finish the last section properly - he/she would be GOD...:crazyeye:

I was thinking about how people seem to read the holy books a whole lot more as they get older; then it dawned on me . .

no human could possibly finish it all. but i think they expected us to do well in the essays and verbal sections....but thankfully..... i did manage to finish all my essays... but only missed out a bit on the precise writing on leadership.....

Guys, dont u think it was unfair on MICA's part to give the same question paper format to mumbai ppl as well? After all, we were taken by surprise looking at the paper (considering the call letter talked about indian culture and society etc). The Mumbai ppl already knew the format of the test that was held on 17th Feb.
