These things sure will happen...but who said they are gonna happen to u only...this might happen to someone who mite hv been at an IIM and luckily at his place u mite get a seat(sounds selfish but is hard reality)
I guess rather then having apprehensions like this where we assume that things wud terribly go wrong, i belive everyone should try and find out various ways how they can adapt themselves to this new format

I know about these first time software and testing systems.

So have some idea. It should have gone a test run with a sample size of 2000 or more before launching it next year.

It will be too harsh on the students this year.

well i think that if iims has to do so then it should have been published in their official website, which is not the case so far. and april has already ended and students like me who are preparing 4 cat 2009 should have been intimated before as it would be too harsh for us.
Also, around a month back only i read in Economic Times only an interview of an IIM alumni that they are hoping to make cat online from 2010 and now all of a sudden they r sayin that it will happen this year. i hope the confusion gets over soon.
bt still no official confirmation from their official website. i hope it doesnot go online this year.

Any idea about the test selection .
What they hav suggested is that there will be three sets of ques paper.
But how will they ensure that their span of a week long window fits into just three paper....:
And if cities like pune will be covered under this or not...!!!
