Please do not start threads days before the GD PI s begin ...
It would just be cluttered with All the bests or will be on page 3 by the time anyone wants to post on the thread ...
Also, the GD PI s have started today in IIM K ( 4th and 5th Feb ) after which the Calcutta leg starts 
Anyway, request Mods to rename the thread to
" [2008] IIM K GD/PI Experiences" ... just to maintain parity with all other threads ..

My interview got over yesterday. Here goes my experience PROFILE:

B. Tech (ECE) - 83 (University of Kerala)
Work-Ex: 3.5 yrs (3 yrs - DRDO, 0.5 yrs - CTS) CAT %ile: 99.56 GD: @ IIM Kozhikode, Feb 4th
Topic: What should be done to uplift status of Muslims
Number of Ppl present: 10
Time: 9:00 am
Brief Snapshot of Discussion:
2 mins to think. 15 mins to discuss. Decent GD with everyone chipping in. Focus was on education. Talked about reservations and having role models like Abdul Kalam, etc. PI:
Three members in panel. I was 7th person to be interviewed
Questions:
P1: Introduce urself
P1: What is difference between data, information & knowledge.
P1: If I say the word 'Aquafina' will it be knowledge. (there was an aquafina bottle on the table)
Ans: No it is data. Only if we say, 'Aquafina is a brand of Pepsi' will it become knowledge)
P1: What is wisdom. Does a pen drive with files be said to have knowledge.
Ans: No it has data.
Don't know why they asked the above qns. No relevance to my profile
P1: 4 yrs since ur acads. Do u remember stuff
Ans: yes. working in DSP
P1: Asked filters - fir, iir, bpf, kalman
P2: (Only one question) When we talk about information being transmitted, is it info for sender or receiver.
Ans: Receiver (Seemed satisfied). Said Ok twice
P3: Dealt with rupee appreciation, oil price hike

Regarding ur query, there were 3-4 lines in the slip which dealt on the topic. I don't remember the heading but u can call it an article based discussion, but the article was very short anyway

1. Is there a select list of faculty who conduct GD/PI or does
