Hats off to an awesome team which developed the project!

The Rankings project comes at a time when rankings developed by nationally acclaimed publications are lambasted left, right, and centre, and student s' emotional preceptions play a stronger role than hard facts.

Since this ranking is primarily perception based, it reflects what students think. That is more important than trying to tabulate dozens of parameters, some of which are already too vague in nature.


And finally... Thank you for letting me be a (minor) part of the project.

It is finally out! Have been waiting for so long!
I voted in the first week this initiative started... even watched a movie with the voucher!!

And the rankings are really great...
For once they are solely based on us!

I was eagerly waiting for the rankings to come out but it has disappointed me. If we analyse the rankings without getting biased the following flaws come out -

1. XLRI and FMS have been placed above IIM-L. But is there anybody who will leave IIM-L for XLRI or FMS. Even if there are, most would still prefer IIM-L.

2. MDI, IIFT have been placed above IIM-I. I again ask if there will be many ppl who will leave IIM-I for IIFT or MDI. I think all the non-IIMs except ISB and probably XLRI should have been below IIMs.

This is bcoz the moderator has clearly said the rankings reflect the preferences of the people. And don't believe too many people will leave IIMs to go for IIFT or MDI or even FMS.

And talking about other B-schools -
1. NIRMA has been placed too low looking at the performance of the institute.
2. How can IIFT kolkata be above MICA? I think rankings have overrated both the IIFT instis.
3. Just see the placements at IMI Delhi. It can in no way be below instis like TAPMI, GIM and SIIB. Think yourself whether you'll leave IMI for these instis.

And how can you give a rank to IIM Shillong when it has not yet started.

I appreciate the efforts put by pagalguy team but i regret to say that these rankings have failed to capture the true picture.

I hope these opinions will be taken in the right spirit. All the above instis are class institutes its just that there is a serious flaw in their relative rankings.
